Hell's kitchen is a short but terrifyingly fun little game, The premise is simple, cook food, scroll your phone to keep the monster happy, fail to do so.. and you'll be punished accordingly, Although this games short and not filled with hundreds of hours of content; It is VERY well polished and the physics system is surprisingly top quality, i was expecting something slight jank with charm to it, but i was pleasantly to surprised to experience it without ever thinking to myself "oh that was janky" for the price of $7 AUD its a solid little purchase that i'm happy to have made, even better if you catch it on sale. My only gripe with this game is the lack of achievements, to give myself and other players more encouragement to play through it repeatedly trying to get just one more achievement on each playthrough. 10/10 would recommend.

About This Game
Kitchen Gore is a physics-based horror cooking simulator.
Features:
Physics-based cooking: Juggle ingredients, flip food to cook all sides, and manage chaotic kitchen dynamics.
Tense and unnerving atmosphere: Creepy tone with occasional goofyness.
Story mode: A short experience intended to be finished in around an hour.
Hardcore mode: A tougher New Game+ with reworked levels, an alternate story, and a different ending.
Endless survival mode: Test your endurance and mastery under constantly building pressure.
Gameplay
In Kitchen Gore you voluntarily feed a monster in your basement. The ingredients are various and require different approaches to be cooked.
While doing this you also have to periodically scroll the phone to keep her(?) distracted. If things go wrong and you get her angry, play the music box to calm her down.
Story
Who are you and why are you voluntarily keeping and feeding a monster in your basement? Each level in story and hardcore mode begins with cryptic text that unravels more about your character and the situation.
Hardcore mode introduces new story content that recontextualizes the original narrative from story mode as well as a different ending scene.

We recommend playing the game with headphones
Hope you enjoy :)

very unique and fun experience! made by a small team, constantly striving to outdo themselves, it's cool and challenging! hate frying tongues tho :(
A horror themed rip-off of Arctic Eggs. The game almost tries to be a horror/cooking sim mix, but it's just a cooking sim with horror elements. They don't do the horror very well. The low-poly style is fine, as long as it's not also low-effort, but you can see that not much effort went into Kitchen Gore. I will say that the story & lack therefore of was pretty compelling, as it makes you want to keep playing to see what's going on. That's about all this game did good, besides the price tag. The Tik-Tok, scroll to keep the monster occupied function really takes away from the not only the horror, but also the quality of the game. It makes the experience more tedious than anything. It's a shame that different elements were ripped off from Arctic Eggs. Not only the main cooking mechanics were directly taken from there, but also the meat cube. I'm surprised that this game didn't have cans of sardines and cigarettes, as well. Kitchen Gore screams cash-grab, rather than being a game of ...
The aesthetic and sense of horror is perfect, and the story really adds to the experience. The gameplay allows for mastery, and there is enough variation to keep it fresh throughout. Highly recomended.
8/10 fun, short story, horror game. It isn't too scary and has just the right amount of horror for a great time. The pressure to cook fast enough and keep her happy is what makes it fun; it's not your average story game and it takes some skill. I recommend this game if you like story games in general. I love that the game is re-playable and definitely a game you could keep going back to.
I need me a non-stick pan like that cz dayumn that ting be slippery. And that ending got me SHOCKED! #waitingformore
I know it is an indie game and you shouldn't expect much quality, but the biggest thing that kills the game for me that despite having a fullscreen option your mouse does not stay locked to the window and about 90% of the time if you have food on your skillet cooking and you turn to say turn the phone on again or get more ingredients it will just launch all the food off the skillet and in the earlier levels this doesn't matter, but in hardcore where your time frame to beat the level is so very small it matters a lot and just made me rage. Edit: The devs are actively listening and I do hope they can fix these bugs, as they stated some users, but not all are affected and I respect that they have reached out to ask about the problems I was having with the game.
Beat the game on both story and hardcore. Definitely recommend!!
