As a Darkfall player i picked the combat up fast and its really fun. Go through the tutorial get your bindings sorted and be patient to be competitive there will be a learner curve for new players. Props for the combat feel makes a nice change to alot of the other indie games out there where its just non existent. Good Job Dave Bizzle

About This Game
Lightrise has much more depth than a traditional one-shot, one-kill FPS, but at the same time does not have any of the familiar restraints such as classes, roles and load outs that are typically found in games of the genre today. Right from the start, each player has access to an identical arsenal of spells and skills - the playing field is as even as it could be - no strongest classes, no flavor of the month builds, no over-powered load out configurations.
Every player can shoot a bow, cast a fireball or swing an axe seamlessly without any artificial restrictions. Every win and loss will be determined solely by how well you play in that moment.

This is an amazing game if you like the old DF1 type combat... fast movement, a ton of spells and abilities, and high-skill ceiling action.
This game reminds me of Darkfall When I played there was no one on any of the servers sadly, but after switching between the moves and derping around the landscape I can tell that this would be a ton of fun if you actually had friends to play it with It's a shame amount the player population, but it is a game that I will be playing again in the future once I find a good time to get some friends together for it
It's sad that this game is dead now. There is a message that playtests are at Wed 9pm and Sat 3pm EST. But there are no people around at this time. I think it would be better to put this game from steam. It costs not much, but there is no actual game inside.
I think this is a very nice game which has a whole lot of potential. So here we go: + skill-based + everything is customizable (controls, GUI/HUD, character, weapons, etc.) + nicely designed maps + many skills/spells + low price for nice product - only multiplayer - outdated graphics (personally I think this doesn`t matter, been playing Mount and Blade for ages, one of my favorites) - a bit more fps would be nice - small community (this really is an issue) BUT WE can actively increase the online community by sharing this nice game to others, I mean its 0,99, it runs on low PCs and it`s really fun, what more do you want? We should give this game the chance it deserves.
Paying a dollar for this is not called ''buying a game'', its called ''making a donation to the devs'' all lobbies are empty. Steam, please take this game off of the market. Ik its an extra dollar in your pocket but still you cant call it a game anymore.
hahahahaahaahh ok man
Realy clunky controls, boring gameplay, and no community make this game just a waste of time.
For 99 cents you get a game 4 out of 5 dentists would recommend as methods of exaggerating symtpons of depression and ADHD. This game's fantastic combat system holds the greatest spell to ever be made in any game. When you click 4 and shoot it, you fire a brand new DLC that mesmerizes players as soon as their eyes set upon it. Truly something fantastic, for 99 cents you can get a mcdonalds burger or buy this, i'd rather starve and fire blinding DLCs than eat mcdonalds.
So bad, its good.
