A hard-boiled 1930’s Italian-American mafia setting? In [i]my[/i] BL game?! You’re damn right and there’s truly no other VN quite like Lucky Dog 1. This game and its universe is fantastic, and I’m so happy the English-speaking audience gets to play it at last. (And please note this review is based on playing the original Japanese release.) Simply put, this is one of the most enjoyable BL games ever created, so do yourself a favor and experience it for yourself. The story is broken up into 3 acts - the core of the plot throughout all three centers around an ongoing gang war between the Italian CR:5 mafia of Daivan, a fictional city on the coast of New Jersey and the Grave Digger gang of Rockwell, a fictional city in Pennsylvania. The protagonist Gian is a chill guy with a lax outlook on life despite his line of work, with a perhaps questionable lack of direction and a tendency to cope with his problems by brandishing humor -- even making jokes out of even hopelessly awfu...

Audio mixing is pretty bad. The voices cant get louder than they are, which is annoying. Also I think the backlog is probably messed up a bit because the character sprites arent showing (on fullscreen). Just thought somebody would want to know if theyre planning on updating it at some point.

I've waited for a decade/almost a decade for this game to be translated to english!! Gian is a super entertaining protagonist, one of the best BL game protags I've had the pleasure to read.

First thing, the lore is outstanding; with a mafia universe so immersive, I think there should be an all audience game. I mean even without all the sexy stuff (that is really good, don’t misunderstand me), the story would still remain incredibly interesting. The dialog and interactions within the gang are really funny and well-written. However there are also dark and deep themes, that conveys very strong emotions throughout the game. Both chara designs and music are really enjoyable. To sum up this game is a total banger. I am so glad you provided an English version, what is more, uncensored, this is so nostalgic, and a good way to regain a highly deserved attention. Besides all characters brilliantly match with Gian, each of them in a very different way, and have solid routes, But to me it will forever remain Ivan all the way 😭

FInally after 72 years!! JK lol. This one is of my beloved bl titles of all time. You will not regret buying this game!
