Dicey Words

I’ve played a lot of word games over the years, but this one really stands out. It strikes a really good balance between fun and challenge. The interface is clean, the game play is intuitive, and there’s a surprising amount of depth once you get going.

Personally not my genre of game choice however after picking it up, I have enjoyed my time playing it, there is good variety with the modifications and choices which will allow for replay value. Maybe you're stuck in a 30+ minute solo shuffle queue or want something that is easy to jump into and can pick up and put down. Its helped touch up on my vocab and blow the dust of my brain and help my mental quickness as I tend to rot and doom scroll. So if these style of games are something you're into I reckon you should have a try and see how you feel about it.

Really enjoying this so far. Having rerolls for each attempt really helps the game to be challenging but not frustrating. Tentatively I'd probably say this is the best roguelike word game I've found on steam so far, though I'd want to play longer before committing to that. Still, at this price point and what I've seen so far I would say it's a definite buy if you love word games.

Solid spelling deckbuilder with a neat future funk aesthetic

I love dice and I occasionally use words so this game is perfect for me.

This game is ridiculously addictive, every run throws new twists at you with different perks, badges, and dice, so it never feels the same. It was super easy to pick up, super satisfying when you pull off a great word, and hard to stop playing. If you like word games with strategy and luck, this one’s a gem!

Could be a fun game... roguelike take on word maker. Only thing is it doesn't scale correctly. Can't make it past level 10 or so, seems like I'm doing fine and the game just ends. This being on the very first level of difficulty doesn't bode well. It makes me wonder if anybody on the dev team has actually played the game.

I don’t even know how long I’ve been playing. Hours? Days? Time lost all meaning the moment I rolled my first word combo. Dicey Words is like Scrabble had a baby with a dungeon crawl and then fed it pure caffeine. Every turn feels like a gamble, but when the right letters hit and you slam down a filthy good word, you feel like a linguistic god. I was just gonna “try it out” before bed… next thing I know, I'm bendering, my tea’s gone cold, and I’m muttering five letter god forsaken words under my breath like some sort of wizard. It’s fucking awesome and hundo addictive af as fuck. Smart enough to make you feel like less of a fuckwit, chaotic enough to keep you on your toes. Anyway, you should totally give it a crack.

Fun word game with roguelike elements. For those who enjoy a good word game but crave a bit of extra strategy, the badges and combos scratch that itch really well. A great and fresh mashup of the genres. Definitely recommended.
