One of the most realistic medieval RPGs I’ve ever played. No magic, no dragons—just pure history, survival, and swordsmanship. The world feels alive and immersive. A must for RPG fans!

About This Game
Game:
You're Henry, the son of a blacksmith. Thrust into a raging civil war, you watch helplessly as invaders storm your village and slaughter your friends and family. Narrowly escaping the brutal attack, you grab your sword to fight back. Avenge the death of your parents and help repel the invading forces!Story:
Bohemia – located in the heart of Europe, the region is rich in culture, silver, and sprawling castles. The death of its beloved ruler, Emperor Charles IV, has plunged the kingdom into dark times: war, corruption, and discord are tearing this jewel of the Holy Roman Empire apart. One of Charles' sons, Wenceslas, has inherited the crown. Unlike his father, Wenceslas is a naive, self-indulgent, unambitious monarch. His half-brother and King of Hungary, Sigismund the Red Fox, senses weakness in Wenceslas. Feigning good will, Sigismund travels to Bohemia and kidnaps his half-brother. With no king on the throne, Sigismund is now free to plunder Bohemia and seize its riches.
In the midst of this chaos, you're Henry, the son of a blacksmith. Your peaceful life is shattered when a mercenary raid, ordered by King Sigismund himself, burns your village to the ground. By bittersweet fortune, you are one of the few survivors of this massacre.
Without a home, family, or future you end up in the service of Lord Radzig Kobyla, who is forming a resistance against the invasion. Fate drags you into this bloody conflict and shoves you into a raging civil war, where you help fight for the future of Bohemia.

The best zero-to-hero RPG on the market. In other RPGs you're basically destined to become great whereas everything feels earned n grounded in KCD. Combat is time and time again the main critic this game gets and I think once you reach a good level in combat, it becomes rather ''easy'' to win most fights. If you want to get beat up by a old man, this game nails that!
One of my favorite games of all time. A little slow and overwhelming at the beginning but after that it just won't stop being good. Heavily recommend. However, this review is a little bit biased and there's 2 reasons why: 1. I am a huge history nerd. 2. I am literally Czech. The region where this game takes place is not far away from here. I could walk there if I wanted to. 10/10
What an epic, truly remarkable. The game feels quite clumsy at first, but once you get sucked in, there's no turning back. Highly recommended!
couldnt get behind the combat system in this game. for that reason. im out.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance, or what a medieval Bethesda game would look like (if Bethesda games were good).
The title says it all, really. KCD felt like I was playing a Bethesda game, except the game actually had a soul and you could feel the passion the devs put into it. Let's start with the good parts: Pros: - Cutscenes - Jesus Christ be praised, the cutscenes are where this game stands out. It must have been where a large part of the budget was spent, because their quality and atmosphere was a notch above the rest of the game. - World Design - Yet another aspect of the game where the budget was clearly focused. Beautiful designs of the villages and castles that made the game's world feel truly alive. - Writing - The dialogues were written very engagingly, and felt pretty realistic. Not to mention the humour. There were many times during my playthrough where the dialogue made me laugh out loud, which is something I can rarely say about any game. ...
"I Feel Quite Hungry" Henry – The Man, the Myth, the Empty Stomach Among the many heroes of Bohemia, few have been as unfairly judged as Henry, son of a blacksmith, known to his friends and foes alike as “I Feel Quite Hungry” Henry. Henry’s so-called “crime”? Speaking up about his hunger. Some say it’s immersion-breaking or foolish to complain about a lack of bread while the fate of kingdoms hangs in the balance. But to that, I say: what man can swing a sword, dodge arrows, and wrestle with injustice on an empty stomach? Henry’s hunger is not weakness, it’s realism. It’s the grit of a man who knows that heroism is built on full bellies and steady hands. Critics forget: Henry never abandoned a quest because of hunger. He never betrayed a friend for food. Even when his body cried for nourishment, his loyalty remained steadfast. The roads of Bohemia are long, the rations are scarce, and yet Henry marched on, pausing only to remark, with honesty, “I feel quite hung...
This was not a fun game. Aside from the various technical bugs, it just wasn't fun from a game play perspective and boring from a narrative one. Everything felt like a chore, and maybe one of the characters was likeable, but I just wasn't made to care about any of them. The game spends much of its narrative time on explaining historical Czech concepts, titles etc., but not why I should care about any of it. The opening sequence is about the rightful king being kidnapped because he's more interested in drinking and partying than ruling, but then the 'bad guy' who kidnapped him wipes out your village, making you side against him for... reasons. As for game play, the easiest way I can describe this is with combat: you can attack your target from six directions, including stabbing. You are told to attack from a direction furthest from your enemy's weapon so they can't block (except they do all the time regardless of direction), and you need to use multiple strikes so they can't block (e...
An immersive medieval life simulator in a beautifully crafted world with boring fetch quests, a linear story, and an unnecessarily complicated combat system. It starts to feel stale quite fast. Don't expect an exciting medieval adventure in this game. It's not a story of the chosen one. It's more of an interactive history book about a specific period in Czechia. KDC is presented as a role-playing game, but, due to the linear quest design, it often feels like you're roleplaying the medieval world, not the protagonist himself, who, by the way, often acts like a pumpkin-head, and you can't do anything about it. However, it can be enjoyable in small doses if you're looking for short, relaxing gameplay bursts and don't mind the grind. Overall, KDC is a niche game for patient players who are interested in medieval history and willing to invest time in studying and utilising various systems in the game, a few of which are somewhat broken. My overall rating: [u]6/10[/...
Not great. Annoying, finicky quests were so frustrating (where to dig under the lindin tree? Have fun searching around and trying to figure out how to use the shovel. Where to get into the burned village? Have fun searching around a bunch of blocked gates forever on foot. Lost your horse on the way back to your village in a cutscene with no explanation? Cool. Lots of annoyances and poor game design choices mar what is otherwise a game that starts with a lot of promise.
