There might be a good game in here somewhere, but if you're a fan of the other Anno games, this one does not have what made the others good. It feels extremely paint by numbers where your decision making space is extremely limited, and feels like you're constantly limited. Do you want to massively build out the bottom of your economy so that you can then grow up very quickly? Too bad you can't because you're limited by not having enough potable water in a setting with orbital elevators and you're extremely limited on where you can get water for some reason. It's bad y'all

User Reviews
Anno 2205 is a bold and futuristic entry in Ubisoft’s long-running city-building and economic simulation series, taking the franchise into space for the first time. As with previous titles, the core of the game revolves around developing thriving cities, managing supply chains, and meeting the evolving needs of your population. However, Anno 2205 distinguishes itself by shifting the setting to the near future and introducing a multi-tiered global (and lunar) economic system. While it retains many of the series’ strengths—polished visuals, deep logistics, and a satisfying progression loop—it also streamlines or omits some beloved mechanics, making for a mixed but often engaging experience. The most striking feature of Anno 2205 is its setting. Players begin their journey on Earth, building sleek futuristic metropolises on verdant temperate islands and arctic tundras, and eventually expand operations to the Moon itself. Each environment offers not only visual variety but also un...
Excellent game. For the life of me I cannot understand people who have negative reviews. I'm lying. Some of them I do understand. The guy says you can't extract enough water to build what you need. He probably was so short-attention-span he never got to learn the booster modules we can attach to all production facilities. In any case never trust people who write reviews with less than 10 hours in a game. This Anno game is futuristic so some mechanics are different to the other anno games and they should be. It makes it a better game. For example the naval battles and how they give you resource not available anywhere else. Building on the moon and the necessity for meteorite shields, Energy transfer from one geography to another. Researching via the space station. The mechanic of training and dispatching astronaut scientists to the space station. All of these add up to make it a brilliant game.
Good builder
I have enjoyed what I have played so far. But getting this game to run is like pulling teeth and it has nothing to do with the game and everything to do with the Ubisoft Launcher that is required to play it. I get errors often when i try to launch the game. Most time Ubisoft will not launch at all. Or better yet when it does launch it will sometimes ask me for a CD key. It is pretty frustrating. Gonna keep trying lol

This game insulted me because I played it 10 hours in a row, telling me that I had no life. 10/10.
good game
very cool city builder. i like the sci-fi theme
The combination of RTS, colony sim, and sci-fi just speaks to me. I love looking at numbers tick up and down while planning my corporatist utopia. Plus you get to blow up lunar separatists in your free time while still making money, what more could I ask for?
