Island Defense

As others have said, this is pretty much a reskin of Kingdom Rush with more modern units and towers. As far as I can tell (5 or 6 levels in) there is no option to speed up the game which makes it nearly unbearable to play. The hero controls feel clunky as well. If speed controls were added to let me go at least 3x as fast I would give a better review that said if you liked Kingdom Rush you won't hate this.

This game is a direct port from iphone. It has serious control issues with heroes being deselected depending on where you click and you won't know until after you click. (near mines, near invisble hitboxes? bad terrain? Who knows?), some pathing issues. And no hotkeys. You have a few skills that cooldown about every 15 seconds, it's a common mobile mechanic that depends on you tapping the screen every now and then. On a PC you MUST have hotkeys for this kind of thing! And not being able to even select your hero with a hotkey is almost game breaking. You could play around the other issues if there only were some hotkeys, rebindable or not. Otherwise it seems to be a decent game with a clunky mobile UI slapped on top. But at this state the "Mostly positive reviews" is almost dishonest. I'll happily change my review when there is hotkeys in the game. --- Three years later edit: Still no hotkeys and broken achievements. Some say this is a clone of kingdom rush, but that's misleading...

Island Defense is a path-based, tower defense game with a lot of sprinkles on top. It controls well enough and has some good features that make a passive genre more active with things like heroes and usable skills. If you've seen a tower defense game before, you've seen this by-the-numbers game with its generic tessla, machine gun, flame thrower, freeze, rocket and sniper towers. Its a touch screen game that uses only the mouse. Everything is either on or paused with no increased speed. The only sad part about the game is some of the achievements doesn't work.

Worse than flash TD's you'll find anywhere. Clumsy controls, bad music, crashes a lot. Wouldn't recommend :(

This game appears to just be a scam created by some other country mirroring Kingdom Rush, a money grab as it were. There is literrally no strategy involved and even the descriptions on some of the chraracters do not translate correctly.

Obvious mobile port is obvious. At least fix the controls if you're going to port from mobile.

I think that is a decent tower defence game. Reason why I got is because of two key features 1) I am a fan of tower defence I mean who isnt? 2) This game weapons and enemies are not OP which is awesome I bought this game for one reason mainly because Steam Policy says you need to buy "$5" min to enable to send a friend request. I think that they should change. May container spoilers in my opinion [spoiler] This game has heros you get to only choose one at a time to battle along side with you in the tower defence. There are three in all. I think that this feature is awesome in my opinion note: The vehicles in the game are so hard until I relised that you need to have the lightning tower that owns them[/spoiler] This is a good game

I like this game alot the towers are solid the commanders are good and the game play is smooth. there are a couple of things that i wish they could add that would make the game a little more comfortable for instance a zoom would help alot because the screen is crowded Also a big thing that really should be in this game are Hotkeys plz if the devs read this add hotkeys:D. those are the only things i would add to this game other then that great fun and cheap

The program has crashed on me Level 14, wave 12 of 12 twice now, there won't be a third time.

Bland but functional tower defense. Not worth your time unless you are a fan of the genre and it is on sale. Tried to get all the achievements for a bit but then got bored.
