Some of you probably thought about playing this game with one hand, but in the end you're all gonna end up having both of your hands in cinema mode 🙌

As of August 15th 2025, without the patch, you are only allowed access to 2 forest maps, and Behemoth Ranch. For example, in the holy forest, you are cut off from the river-side portion of the map, as well as the Blacksmith/Dungeon, not to mention the lack of NPCS. Due to an influx of comments and reviews, I combed through what was left of the game to document what is and isn't actually in the game. Thus, here is a list. THINGS REMOVED IN UN-PATCHED BLACK SOULS: - Any mention or reference to sexual content - Character status/ emotion sprites (usually present in the bottom left of dialogue) - The player Character is schizophrenic and hallucinates Leaf's presence in her introductory scene - Sign dialogue (save for the one next to the Bremen house) - Any non essential NPCs (Such as the Holy Forest Faeries and Crestfallen Hero, Tortoise knight,Pot Plant, Goose) - [Inaccessible] Riverside - [Inaccessible] Blacksmith/Dungeon - [Inaccessible] Dorothy's House - [Inaccessible] Dump/Landfill - ...

• Similary to doki doki literature club, you better experince this game totally blind without any knowlege and no guids. Yes, this game pretends to be something it is not. • In order to get around the 1984 censorship we have in 2025, the Steam version of this game has 99% of the NPC, Bosses and Worldmap removed. You will find the link to the patch on the offical developer site everywhere in the community and guide areas of steam. This game has reverse piracy. I finished and speedrun this game 20 times over the last few years and I got it for free from [HYPERLINK BLOCKED]. Because of the internet censorship I was told for 20 years was a conspiracy theory that would never actually happen, which happened, I was unable to buy this game officially anywhere. I researched for a way to give my money to the creator for weeks and came up blank. And I got it here on steam within the first hour of release. If this doesn't tell you anything, nothing ever will.

I'll be blunt to you, this Steam version of the game had to go through a bunch of smogabog rules and regulations to get here and as a result, some of the contents had to be removed due to the nature of the game. In fact, i am very satisfied that's the Steam version exist now so i can support the creator of this game (it was very difficult to do so before because JP region stuffs). All i'm saying is you should experience the magic of this game as it should be. And hey, let's keep up the momentum and we might have the sequel too, yes this game has sequels, quite a bit in development too. So march on and may your SOULS might not be tainted.....BLACK.

Black Soul has truly opened my eyes to the Freedom and illusion of choice, this game was truly not made for weak minds to comprehend the beauty and complexities of consent. Game of my Life.

One must imagine Grimm happy... Because you sure as heck won't see it in the actual game.

One of the BEST-CRAFTED and MOST HAUNTING stories in the world of video games in recent years. Black Souls has sexual content that may not be suitable for some, and it is possible to play with H scenes off but you may miss a bit of fascinating lore. Regardless, you have to apply the (free) patch to access the full game. At the end of the day, it is a work of a fiction, and consuming fiction about bad things does not endorse bad things in real life. Black Souls and Black Souls 2 are meant to be played one after the other for the full story. It explores Lovecraftian mythos and traditional fairytales, some famous and some obscure, in a creative way, all packaged with a unique art style that may seem rough at first but I promise will grow on you. The amount of research poured into this passion project is staggering. Has multiple endings, prepare to cry. Also Prickett is best girl.
