About This Game

The undead scorge:

Neither living nor truly dead, these tormented souls wander the world, bearing the cursed legacy of the fallen necromancer. From pitiful corpses to fallen champions, from grotesque abominations to witches of ancient ages, they shall stand as your greatest and most harrowing challenge within the depths of NECRODUNGEON.

The powers:

From the blessing of the last priest, you carry the power to forge fallen souls into divine strength. In NECRODUNGEON, you will choose from a wide array of powers, each with unique upgrades, shaping a gameplay experience that is truly your own. A master of the blade? A weaver of ancient magic? A relentless hunter? Or perhaps a force that commands all paths at once? What powers will you unleash?

The holy relics:

Scattered across the dying world, sacred relics hold the key to a ritual that could turn the tide against darkness. From the depths of the NECRODUNGEON to the stench of cursed swamps, through deadly labyrinths to burning wastelands. The path is treacherous, the reward is salvation. Will you rise and claim the relics before all is lost?

Free the world or die trying.

Awesome, casual dungeon crawler! Low price, decent atmosphere, and a perfect timekiller -until you meet the ice giant with a bubble shield in a skating rink of doom! Smooth movement (skating around is Fun!), raining icicles, holes in the ground.... You might have won this fight, but you have not won the war! I’ll get you soon, you giant piece of.. ice!

Really good casual game! The game has a great variety of weapons and powers. Even without a class system, the build freedom is excellent—you can play as a “mage,” a “warrior,” a hybrid, or whatever you like. The powers aren’t just clones with different colors either; they have different ranges, areas of effect, functions, and strengths, so you can create a wide set of unique builds. I recommend playing your first run slowly until you reach the end—it’s more challenging that way. But after that, try stacking the multiplier to 50~100x and you’ll get overpowered really fast (and yes, it’s fun, but not easy). For the price, the game is more than worth it! Simple, polished, and complete—especially impressive for a first Steam release. It’s not one of those “eternal early access” titles, it’s an actual finished game. Definitely recommended if you enjoy casual dungeon crawlers with freedom to experiment and replayability.

Necrodungeon is an indie-developed ode to dungeon crawler classics like Daggerfall or Eye of the Beholder, where you must brave through procedurally-generated levels whilst avoiding death and building your inventory. The item stacking is particularly fun to toy with, and possibly my favorite bit of the game. Exploring items so to build new combos and/or piling up stats for them is something you can spend a lot of time with. Death means an entirely clean slate to rebuild them, though, which may be good or bad news depending on how you enjoy your roguelikes. There are upgrades you can acquire outside the dungeon itself, but I wasn't too attracted to the mechanics of it nor the impact they had. The graphics totally fit the game and carry a charm of their own, but at times, I think certain mobs could've had a bit more polishing. Having played the game in alpha version and having seen the progress since then, it seems the developer is applied to keeping the game fresh and tweaking the p...

I played threw most of the game while in its current form it has some frustrating issues the devs are working on improving it but right now the game really needs some quality of life changes. Also pleas allow us sell or dump skills as things are now you choose something your stuck with it. It would also be nice if instead of loosing all run progress on death you made it so we get sent back with like half or a 3rd of the gold and any levels we got during the run in its current state its very frustrating when you die at the end of a run or at a boss fight and loose all progress. It would also be great if there was a way to revisit old levels to appease the grinders of us out there. So in summary this is an good game with a few frustrating problems but I have hope in it and will keep an eye on it.
