Pros: Has multiple characters to choose from. Has many different opponents. Nice art and music. And well it never crashed Cons: Waaaaaaaaaaay to simplistic. It looks like you can build several building in the pictures, but it’s all just 1 building (your castle) You have a map, but to win you have no need to move anywhere. (Just get to level 100) You have no need to use Builders. (The game will build your castle just fine from random events and leveling) You have no need to use soldiers, you have no need to ever fight, just run its better for you, even if you win. You level by gaining population so that is really all you need to do, fighting loses you population so it’s a bad idea. No level of difficulty it’s all just super easy. Comments: When I got to level 38 I was able to jump to 51 the next turn, then to 89 then 100, game over I win (no need to concur any other provinces). This game is in need of play testing and re-balancing.

Gameplay is *extremely* minimal, I don't know that there is much of any strategy to it, really. Wish I hadn't bought it...

As others have said, there is no challenge to this game. Click to advance another tedious day. That's it. The battles have two strategy options; either fight or retreat each round. Dull and boring.

Bought it for the 2006 nostalgia. Not disappointed, though I can see why other people are easily disappointed.

Gold income needs to be better. There needs to be another way of winning beside reaching level 100. This game desperately is in need of a goal to reach because as of right now all you need to do is click start day, end day, and retreat keep doing that and you win. Only reason why I got this game is I wanted to get one of the most craziest and dumb game possible for my 69th game. The trailer was pretty crazy and the game was pretty dumb lol. I really wanted to give this game a thumbs up but as it is right now I just can't nor can I recommend this for anyone to get.

I am so excited to write this review. Let me tell you where this game shines. The fricken Arnold Swartzenager commercial advertisement for this game. I got full-on wood for this game when I saw it. I dont care that it has 4 negative reviews. 4 negative reviews is about absolutely nothing. As far as I am conscerned there is no game on steam that has less then 4 negative reviews so thats saying somthing. I was also able to download this game in under 30 seconds. I am STOKED. 10 stars out of 5, BUY THIS GAME.

Even though I've read all the reviews I still bought it when it was 0,45€. Not worth it. I hoped it would be like Age of Castles #1, but it's not! Besides the fact that you can drop down your entire castle and people by losing a fight the computer says you are going to completely win, there is no goal. You can move freely around the map without any purpose. I'm lvl 30 at the moment and still no clou what the hell I'm supposed to do. Trust me: don't buy it. Go het something else for your 0,45€ cents.

This is game is almost the same as the original Age of Castles (Which I bought in 2006) The game is very simplistic and easy to win. No real strategy required, brute forcing the game by spamming days is even enough to win. I still get some mild enjoyment and satisfaction out of the game but it is quite hollow due to the little effort and how short the game is. Game takes no more than an hour to complete so definately a long way from the £3.99 price tag, may recommend if it were -90%
