Sorry, but I cannot endorse the game. #1 issue: the game does not run, unless it got focus, so it is breaking like the one core rule of idle games. #2 issue: as soon as I unlocked the forest, the game broke.... or at least it felt like it. There was no more automisation, the hourglass was still available but did not work anymore, I was able to get to "-2 sand" somehow. In the forest I could increase reproduction and photosynthesis, but they did not have any noticeable effect and the game turned into a mouse-killer-clicker. I will not refund it, as it was only 1.99€, but I also do not recommend it to anyone, as it is buggy or badly designed.... I also do not have any idea, why heated sand would float upward in an hourglass, but that is a minor issue. Oh, the hourglass currencies 'sand' and 'moment' were carrying over to the forest, where they clutter up with the forest currencies, but they do not have any meaning anymore.

About This Game
Falling sand idle is an incremental game powered by a little physics simulation. Your progression is determined by the interactions of lots of little circles that run into each other. You can make them bigger, smaller, or hotter. You can change the environment they move around in. Eventually, they can eat each other.
Content
Level 1: You start out moving grains of sand through an hourglass. Each time a grain hits the bottom, you get it back, and can drop it again from the top. You also get a tiny moment of time, that you can use to buy upgrades. Eventually, you'll have thousands of grains on screen at once.
Level 2: The next level is a forest. You start out placing leaves, which costs nothing but a click. You get a tiny adaptation of evolution for every particle you create, which lets you research upgrades. Eventually, your leaf dies, leaving behind a dead leaf particle. Once you teach the leaves to reproduce, you'll eventually have too many dead leaves to make new live ones. Luckily, bugs love to eat dead leaves...

neat game. i like it. it still needs alot of work and im looking forward to future updates.
Unplayable on widescreen. There's no settings for resolution, so half of the game is out of view.
Cool concept, but the game is riddled with bugs and very unfinished. I'm talking upgrades break the game or disappear. Saves work sometimes. Hope the dev revisits it eventually.
Game breaking UI bugs make the game unplayable. At one point the forest unlocks and the entire UI disappears leaving only a black screen. Give this a miss.
Fun Idler! For the developer: I would add some more UI around the upgrades, to explain what they do. I think the endorphin hit would be higher if you added a few more visuals. During the hourglass map for example adding the weight of the sand to each grain. Or making the diameter of the grains of sand easier to pick out post upgrade.
This game is not ready for release. - Saved and Quit after day 1 play, on day 2 I opened the game only to have to start again. - Reached the "end" of the hourglass section and then my total sand went to a massive negative number, which completely broke the functionality entirely. - sand falls straight out of the hourglass - no explanation of when next upgrades are coming at all, playing "in the dark" - numbers have no commas or scientific or other notation, which quickly become unreadable. I hope this becomes a playable game someday, but today, I cannot recommend.
the hourglass is to big, I got all my sand red, it goes to the top . I keep clicking unlock the forest. whatever that is.
