Really really fun 4 players local Co-op/Versus game in the same vein as Towerfall Ascension. with many game modes already available now like: deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the soul, Soul reaping..etc. the game's mechanics are simple and works great, lots of maps, tight controls and great music too. but for now there is no single player campaign and there are no bots to play against in case you want to play a few matches alone (The devs said single player modes are coming later) and i hope they add the option to disable or enable powerups since i prefer to play without them.

Really good fun. It's been added to the rotation along with Towerfall, Samurai Gun and Duck Game. The music is great, the shooting is super meaty and satisfying and the sheilds are really good. Reflecting a shot into someone's face is hilarious. I think more variety in map mechanics would be good for longevity. Also maybe different shotguns? sawn-off, assault etc? Could be pick ups or vary depending on character.
*I will change/alter this review if certain changes are made, namely more content (I don't care about online multi)* I feel bad about writing a negative review for this game, but ultimately, I write these reviews for my Steam friends - so I have to be honest. Really, my beef is more with the price. I feel eight bucks is a bit too much for a game in a genre that has so much stiff competition. I played three players for about an hour - until they whined enough for us to go back to TowerFall. I will play more though. Pros: +Good music +Environments change over time (e.g. it turns from day to night) +Tarot cards are well done, in how they alter gameplay (very similiar to orbs in TowerFall) +The shield mechanic may very well be the best thing about this game. Essentially, when you use your shield, if an enemy shoots you at close range it will spray back at them and kill them. Bringing something novel to the table is very valuable in indie games. +Devs ar...
it's fun Demons with Shotguns 5/10 Heisen
There are demons, and they do have shotguns. 10/10
Super fun fast pace local multiplayer game. I had a few friends over and they had a blast playing it. There's a surprising amount of tactical gameplay despite its simple game mechanics. You'll want 4 controllers and 3 other friends to have the most fun. Be warned though, this is a local multiplayer only game; you'll need at least one other person to play with you.
Haven't played it a lot yet, but up to now, it feels like a game mixed of Castlevania with Nuclear Throne or even Enter the Gungeon and Painkiller. That's the feel I got, only thing is that this game is a platformer on one screen, it's not a side-scroller. Is it good? Yes, it's good, perhaps for two hour at max, it's good, it's not bad, but it doesn't have enough content nor things to do. If it could use exactly the same gameplay as now, but with some RPG elements such as the one found in Castlevania, side-scroller world with big and open levels, then this game would be even better, I must admit that I did excepted something like the original platformers Castlevania games at first but with its differences. I'm not saying it is a bad game, it's really good but most of the game is multiplayer sided (with friends), there is no bots or anything of the sort. There is a solo/coop survival gamemode though. But it can get repetitive pretty quick, got tired of playing after 20 minutes. So yeah...
Maybe it's the rough art style, or rather styles that don’t mesh well, but I have a soft spot for this local deathmatch game where you blast demons (or friends) with holy explosions and shotguns. It's all quite silly but the powerups, charges, and reflective shield did offer some strategy and the inclusion of competitive and co-op modes is quite welcome.
Good casual fun.
I love this game. It has pretty deep mechanics, and the map you are playing on matters because of the strange angles that a lot of the weapons and mechanics work. The only problem I have with the game is its aesthetic. I personaly like the silly demonic feel, and I know that it is somewhat satirical, but I have a hard time recominding the game to some of my more religious friends. I think that it is a shame that this game is not more popular, and I will absolutely recomend it to any friends who I think will have no problem with the satanic aesthetics.
