8-bit Adventures: The Forgotten Journey is a game that should always be remembered. As a faithful, fun, and just as engaging JRPG as the ones it takes homage from (like Final Fantasy). It's in the name, after all, with all the graphics being 8-bit. You play as a Warrior, Thief, and Mage team (names you can decide for yourself) as they are brought together by an omnipotent force to save the world. Seems basic stuff, but the characters have nice banter and chemistry that makes it more endearing. The Warrior is a knight captain who is very trusting and a bit silly in how he wants to ride an airship. The Thief is a snarky girl with her heart closed up and takes the longest to warm up. The Mage is at least two centuries old, is wise about the world, and even has his own struggles he tries to bury in the past. And when you get your three colored orbs that represent the world, you are tasked to find a weapon that can stop the foreign enemy known as Dust. And might I say, it's very cleve...
