Highly recommended. There are three things that I think could make you not want to buy the game, I'll put them below. But first, the good stuff: It's a persistent roguelike tower defense game. You maintain a squad of like, XCOM guys who have classes and level up, and you use those guys to run missions where you explore a ruined city, find buildings, staff those buildings with your squad, and shoot bugs until they die or you die. Your guys have a persistent leveling system, and they can die for realsies and you lose them permanently when they do. The level up system is neat, there's a couple layers of RNG but every build I've gotten so far seems interesting. It would be nice if they branched a little more, but I'm not sure if I just haven't unlocked that stuff yet. I'm not that deep into the game. The actual runs are varied enough for a $5 game - I'm still finding new things slowly, and I have a couple "big" things coming up that might make the game open up even more, but I'm gettin...

User Reviews
Quick review. Quite an interesting game, a variant of tower defense. You need to complete the first mission to get a ship. Then you can form teams, train people and complete tasks. The game has an inconvenient interface with many incomprehensible things. The tutorial is not very clear, I had to figure it out myself. The graphics are minimal, the game should work on any potato calculators.
