A story-focused mech game with fun short missions. There's a great selection of weapons and tools at your disposal with enough freedom to let you decide which of them fit your playstyle the best. The background lore is thoroughly explained in your terminal in lore dumps, which is not the best way to introduce the world but it's there and it's well put together should you be interested. The key takeaway is that humanity is divided between Terrans and Centaurians. The missions have mandatory goals and optional goals and are mostly what you expect. A couple of gameplay tips for new players is to try zooming into areas where you expect enemies to be, to see them before they see you. The second is to not waste jumpjet fuel because it's limited. Now get there and drive away the weird class-tiered socialist cultist Terrans.
