Ahhh, this reminds me of the old days, playing Test Drive and Need For Speed on the Playstation one and 2. Not a sim by any means but that's what I loved about those games. The market is over saturated with sims and not enough GAMES.

The last true "old school" off road homecade racer, a love letter to colin mcrae, 4x4 evo, motorstorm and the 6th-7th gen of racing games. Recommended.

Gravel is an OK arcade racing game. Recommended if you want a Need for Speed game but on dirt tracks. Avoid if looking for a driving sim, this ain't it. I dislike how it copies vehicle customization from Dirt Rally, why would you do that in an arcade game is beyond me.

I really love this game. For me it hits the right balance between arcade and sim perfectly. There really isnt anything else out there like this. Some comparisions will be drawn to FH3 and dirt showdown etc but for what it does its the best ive played. The graphics are amazing, runs really smooth and tons of different track variations. It has a decent career mode, time trial, weekly challenges and online multiplayer which works really well. Highly recommended and I hope the game gets the support it deserves.

After being incredibly disappointed with DiRT 5, I decided to give Gravel a shot. This is essentially a DiRT ripoff made on a lower budget and hearing the more negative reception of this game made me go in with little to no expectations. Yet, this game ended up surprising me. I had a blast in its races and interesting online arena gamemodes like capture the flag. Handling feels rather good, and the damage model is also decent. Suspension physics can be a bit wonky at times, though you do have the option to tune aspects of a vehicle like its suspension that may help depending on the surface you are driving on. I love the tracks, especially the ones that put you in wide open courses with long straights where you can reach your top speed. It even has a rewind feature! It does have a soundtrack that consists of generic songs, so don't expect any grand licensed songs here. I definitely recommend waiting for a sale since the game is still pretty pricey, but if you are looking for an exper...
