I wanted to love this game. It seemed like it would be a short, casual walking simulator with unnervingly surreal themes. Just how I like them. However, after a couple of minutes, it turned out to be a platformer. A frustratingly difficult one, for me at least. Maybe it could be enjoyable for someone who actually likes platformers and is reasonably good at them, but I spent something like two hours mainly angry and disappointed. Sunken cost fallacy, sheer bullheadedness and the will to base my negative review on the entire game kept me on trying. It was totally unexpected, and in a bad way. Even sertting my personal sucking at platformers aside, this game is quite poorly made. The most glaring things are the voice lines that repeat if you step too close to doors (is that what is meant by "a dynamic narrator who evolves with your choices"?), and the lack of any built-in way to quit the game once you have started - Escape key does nothing, even at the end of credits where you are stuck...

About This Game
Solitary
You wake up in a silent, white room.
No clues. No instructions. No color.
Only a chair, a bed, a table — and a voice that doesn’t seem too concerned with your confusion.
Solitary is a short first-person psychological experience about isolation, routine, and the slow unraveling of reality. Designed with minimal UI and ambient storytelling, the game leads you through a series of surreal spaces — each one stranger and more detached than the last.
You won’t be told what to do.
But you’ll want to keep moving.
🔍 Features:
A series of abstract, atmospheric rooms:
A padded white space that slowly populates with sterile furniture
A temple-like chamber of cold light and pillars
Glowing platforms suspended in a dark, endless void
A maze with hidden rules and invisible truths
And something waiting at the end... or maybe the beginning
A dynamic narrator who evolves with your choices — playful, observant, and maybe just a little too involved
A quiet descent into something you were never meant to understand
