While on the whole, I recommend the game simply because it's enjoyable, it has VERY little potential for long-term gameplay. The game is a thrill to play... for 5-10 minutes. After that, the shortcomings start to shine through. It's got ~most~ of the superficial details that we loved in F-Zero GX, but the meat of the game just isn't there.

At the time of this review, I'm about 25% into career mode. So far, this game is on par with Wipeout and it kicks things up a couple notches in terms of speed and crazy tracks. Handling is a bit more like F-Zero, and can take a good deal of practice to get used to. I'm having a lot of fun playing this one and feel that its worth the price.

It's an excellent racing game. 62 Hours in and I just finished the campaign (all gold medals) + all dlc. I still haven't started on time attack. A very difficult but very fun game for a short stint or a long burst. Can highly recommend.

Este é um grande piloto futurista que, como fã de F-Zero, compensa a enorme ausência dessa série. Eu estava acostumado a poder fazer curvas fechadas absurdas no F-Zero GX sem suar a camisa, mas Redout é um pouco mais desafiador. As pistas podem ser igualmente chiques e em zigue-zague, mas aprender a executar curvas apertadas e tal exige mais paciência e memorização das áreas mais difíceis. Algumas das medalhas de ouro time attack são extremamente difíceis, mas eu prefiro isso a breezing através do jogo apenas por causa da minha experiência com outros jogos de corrida.

Ce jeu est la meilleure chose à laquelle j'ai jamais joué derrière Ballistic. Celui qui a eu l'idée que la musique change en fonction de votre vitesse a besoin d'une augmentation. Rien n'est plus amusant qu'un solo de guitare badass qui se lance alors que vous descendez une colline à mach 7 pour vous heurter à un mur parce que le jeu ne vous laisse pas devenir arrogant. C'est une bonne chose.

Easily the best Wipeout clone/spiritual successor on the market. No contest. Not only captures the presentation of the games perfectly (optional in-depth lore for gameplay mechanics included!) but looks and performs flawlessly. Music is ON POINT. The driving and handling is so damn smooth I could slide my body all over it oh god-
