About This Game

Sip Fisher is an incremental fishing game about draining a lake of all its water.

Start out on an old dock surrounded by a vast and daunting lake. Sip up water from the lake, sell the fish you find, and upgrade your equipment to sip up the lake faster. Relax and explore as the lake gets lower. Progress until you have a massive dock and find out what’s at the bottom!

Sip Fisher is proof that video games don’t need to make sense to be fun. You’re literally sucking an entire lake dry with a straw, and somehow it’s one of the most relaxing and addictive things I’ve played in a while. The concept is so absurd it circles back around to genius. You slurp up water, accidentally vacuum a few fish along the way, and then sell those poor fish for cash so you can buy an even bigger, stronger straw. It’s capitalism meets hydration. What makes it great is the loop: sip → sell → upgrade → repeat. It’s simple, cozy, and weirdly satisfying to watch the water level drop while you uncover more of the lakebed. I kept telling myself “just one more upgrade” until I realized I had spent an embarrassing amount of time playing what is essentially a straw simulator. Honestly, Sip Fisher might be the first game where I can say, “I drank a lake and loved it.” If the devs keep adding content, I’m ready to sip oceans next. Just don’t give me pa...

This game is good practice for when I eventually start to just jam crazy straws into people and drink all of their blood out like an O positive juice box. The streets will fear me. Anyways, pretty cool game.

I was not expecting much when I picked this up for less than 5 bucks. I've never been more happy to be proven wrong. Super chill and relaxing gameplay, great atmosphere thanks to the relaxing soundtrack, and a silly little story. Highly recommend if you've got a bit of extra cash and a few hours to kill. Very Strong 8-9/10 for me. See you out on the lake fellow sippers.

I absolutely adored this. The actual mechanic of the fishing is super unique and fun, it has all of the incremental bits I loved and some similar humor to A Game About Digging A Hole, and the graphics are adorable. There's still a few little bugs here and there, but they barely even registered because I was having too much fun. Would play again, A+
