Hollow Knight

Easily THE 10/10 metroidvania experience. One of the greatest games I've played. I'll glaze it to the end of the world. Glowing recommendation from some guy you've never met on the internet.

This games bosses makes me want to peel my skin and eat it while throwing myself into gasoline and litting it on fire, would reccomend 10/10

In the wake of Silksong's long-awaited release date announcement, what is there left to say about Hollow Knight? What possible virtue hasn't yet been extolled by someone smarter, more dedicated? The game's success is inexplicable, coming out of nowhere and establishing itself as a high watermark of the entire metroidvania genre. It is not unreasonable to rank this game as one of the best of its kind, for sheer artistic merit and razor-sharp gameplay that has kept an audience immersed for almost a decade. A modern classic, and an essential must-play.

Had this in my library for years and only now got around to it. 😐 It's a beautiful looking game with awesome backgrounds, cool animations and interesting characters. Music's great with some memorable tracks (City of Tears ❤️), controls were spot on and didn't feel floaty, and bosses were fun but challenging as well. There's also a lot to explore and while it took me longer than expected to finish, I still loved it. Hollow Knight's an amazing metroidvania and definitely worth playing! 👍

Ya know, I bought this game so many years ago and played hundreds of hours, and I just never left a review, so here it is. If you haven't played this game, you need to. Emphasis on need, as this is one of the best games to exist. The world of Hallownest is one to truly behold, the rich sense of wonder and lore hidden within the world will leave you constantly wanting more. The art direction for the game is visually stunning, and the music is some of the most memorable music in gaming. The boss themes give you a rush and the area themes are whimsical. The NPC's are quite the cast too, leaving you always wanting more. This game is what other companies strive and wish they could create, but 3 amazing people created Hollow Knight and this will forever be my favorite game of all time, that is, until the long awaited sequel Silksong may take its place, or at least sit on the bench beside it. From the moment you drop into Hallownest you're met with breathtaking art that is haunting and beautiful. Every area is visually distinct, dripping with atmosphere and packed full of details. The music is a masterpiece. The gameplay is challenging but endlessly satisfying. Wish I could play it again for the first time. 10/10 My favorite game <3

this game changed my life and gave me a newfound appreciation for games as a whole. I got it on switch and have over 150 hours on it but recently bought it on steam to mod hence the seemingly low number of hours. Cannot recommend this game enough, the art, story, and music is enthralling and the gameplay is polished to a T.

I'm not sure why i still didn't review this game, whatever. You're probably one of those LUCKY gamers who still didn't experience this total masterpiece.
