One of the hardest hitting emotionally impactful forms of literature I've had the pleasure of reading. Nekopara is a series that explores the layers and complexities of family dynamics. Without going into major spoilers, it really makes you question how deep the intimate chemistry between family goes. The authors take full advantage on the fact this series is fiction by implementing aspects most would consider to be socially taboo (thus expanding Nekopara's world build). It really makes you think in the philosophical sense. And it's thanks the game's writing which I would argue surpasses One Piece in terms of peak fiction. Every character feels like they were carefully crafted by some of the best writers the visual novel industry has to offer. Making each character engaging and believable. Nekopara After is yet another installment of the Nekopara series. Previously you, as Kashou started a pâtisserie and introduced the six cat girls of your family into work there, while also showering them with love. Now you receive your Master's cat girl to help with work, as well as the continued support of your sister. As part of that Kashou also deepens the bond with both of them. In the second half of the story, Kashou's sister decides to bring everyone on a vacation to Hawaii, to deepen the familial bonds between all 7(+1) catgirls and Kashou. All in all, yet another enjoyable story introducing more of Fraise and allowing Shigure to become less restrained, with its small downs and delightful ups. The visuals are also great all around. While the romantic scenes are nice on their own, downloading the 18+ patch obviously shows you more of how they deepen their bonds.
