I think this is a straightforward game. For transparency, one of my friends created this game as a side project, and this was his first attempt at creating a game (and I think programming an app in general). It does have some bugs, and I think some of the scaling could be improved, but as a whole I think that he did a good job. Currently, the main bug that I have encountered was occasionally having items get stuck to the mouse so that I couldn't place them. This didn't prevent me from moving around other items, but it meant that the items that got stuck were lost. I don't think it affected game play that much, though it was a bit annoying.

About This Game
Auto Shooter + Inventory Management
This game is for people that enjoy the high octane onslaught of autoshooters, but would like more involved gameplay mechanics and a higher skill ceiling. In Zombie Survivors: Inventory Apocalypse, you must show that you have what it takes to survive the endless waves of enemies closing in, while periodically managing your backpack and weapons belt to keep up as enemy difficulty increases over time. Items that you gather are stored in your backpack where they can be picked up, rotated and placed to maximize your space.
Items and Upgrades
What your character can do is decided by what items you have and the upgrades that you choose. Items are gathered either from scavenging wrecked cars or dropped by killed enemies. These items vary in utility from "consumable" healing items, items that provide passive buffs and weapon items. While passive items will have an effect from inside your backpack, weapon items must be placed in belt slots to be used. Find the balance of item management in the different sections of your inventory while also avoiding dead-ends and masses of zombies.
Upgrades are another way to get stronger. Similar to the leveling up mechanics found in other autoshooters, you gain experience overtime by killing enemies. These experience points can be spent on different upgrades that can decide what kind of run you will have. Upgrades include: increasing your line of sight, gaining a compass that points to car wrecks, upgrading inventory capacity and others. While the items you collect are completely up to chance, you can account for that variability by picking upgrades that have synergy with you load-out.
Procedurally Generated Arena
Every run is different, not only with the items you get but with the area you play in. Obstacles, lootable wrecks and enemy locations are all generated each round (with the exception of one wreck at the beginning). There is also no exploration limit in any given direction, making builds that involve high mobility and enemy avoidance more viable. While obstacles can still generate in ways that produce choke points and areas you can get cornered, you'll never have to worry about getting stuck at the edge of the map.
Where this game goes depends on you!
Making this game was a blast and I'm ready to see if people have just as much fun playing it as I did making it! I'm very excited to see what other people think about it and I appreciate constructive feedback. As an individual, I am pleased about how this went as a project and I am excited to work on more things. However, if this game is well received and enough people would enjoy more content, such that I could justify spending more time and bringing on additional talent, I would be just as passionate about adding things to this game as I would be about working on a new one.
Thanks for reading about this game, and a special thanks if you play it!

User Reviews
Another quick cash grab scam game. No way to fight...you just die....despite the instructions saying how to do so. There is no menu screen at all. The backpack button is space and while you are figuring out your crafting and what not...you die. The game is literally unplayable. Then when you die....the game freezes and the exit button doesnt work. You have to alt tab out to exit this obvious fraud of a game. The only positive review for this game is a fake one. Dont be fooled people. If the developer is serious about the game he will be responsive to players asap....post messages and updates, fix everything that needs fixing and explain why he allowed players to buy something not playable. Refunded and reviewed accordingly....will change review and repurchase game if everything I mentioned is corrected. I would also expect standard mechanics for this type of genre to be added as well. Like gamepad support, full tutorial, full menu with key rebinding options and screen options, and all ...
For 2 bucks, you can have some fun with this.
