MonStalkers plays like a mix between a light puzzle/racing game and a light horror experience, emphasis on light, literally and figuratively. You move around these isometric voxel mazes, trying to find memory fragments and hidden objects while your candle slowly burns out. Once the light’s gone, things get creepy fast: that's when the “MonStalkers” start chasing you, and you really feel the pressure to either find a new candle or get out quick. The gameplay is simple: grid-based movement, three lives, limited light. But it works. The tension isn’t from jumpscares, it’s from pacing. You’re constantly deciding whether to explore one more corner or play it safe. The level design encourages curiosity, with plenty of secret paths and tucked-away items if you take the time to look. The voxel art style gives it a kind of eerie toy-like vibe, which somehow makes the darker moments hit harder.
