About This Game

Sizzle & Stack is a fast-paced, card-based cooking simulator where deck-building meets restaurant chaos. Inspired by Stacklands, this unique twist on the culinary genre puts you in charge of a growing kitchen where every dish, upgrade, and decision is made with cards.

Every day is a new puzzle. Stack ingredients, combine tools, manage tight spaces, and serve up delicious meals to increasingly demanding customers. Whether you're prepping a simple soup or assembling a gourmet masterpiece, timing, strategy, and resource management are your secret ingredients to success.

Here is the features that we are planning to implement in the full version of Sizzle & Stack:

Combine ingredients, tools, and stations by stacking cards in clever ways to cook up a wide variety of dishes. Master known recipes—or experiment to uncover secret ones.

Progress unlocks powerful upgrades: turn your basic Knife into a Chef’s Knife for faster prep, or expand your Table to hold more cards at once. Transform your humble kitchen into a well-oiled culinary machine.

From casual diners to stern food critics, every customer has different expectations. Keep them happy to earn tips, reputation, and rare rewards.

Spend your hard-earned coins on ingredient packs with randomized cards. Expand your setup, unlock new tools, and customize your playstyle.

Impress high-profile gourmets to earn prestigious Sizzle Medals—unlocking powerful upgrades, new mechanics, and endgame challenges.

Whether you’re just here to unwind and whip up some quick dishes or you love finding clever combos and optimizing every move, Sizzle & Stack fits your vibe. Play a short day, go all-in on a long shift, or kick back in peaceful mode—it’s your kitchen, so run it your way.

There’s always something new to discover, whether you’re stacking for fun or cooking up a plan.

In Sizzle & Stack, every card counts—and every dish tells a story.

I really want to be able to recommend this game, but it's been so frustrating. Right now I'm stuck on a run because after spending hundreds of in-game dollars on a card pack that supposedly has the recipe I need for a customer request, it still hasn't dropped. I tried guessing at how to make the recipe but it's clearly not intuitive either. Also, if you're not familiar with a country's cuisine then nothing about it will be intuitive. This is far from the first run where I've been unable to continue because of some similar issue. I get that they're trying to be roguelike, but I shouldn't be this far into a run and losing because a promised resource from a card pack refuses to drop.

Obsessed over the demo, stayed up way too late to play it the moment it dropped, have played it on and off in the background for days. It's an excellent, chill but satisfying card-stacking crafting game, a la Stacklands - if you liked Stacklands and want to see it skinned for cooking, this is it - and I mean that as a high compliment. When you like something, you want more of it!! A lot of the negative reviews about bugs and nonintuitiveness are, quite frankly, from people who don't understand what kind of game this is. Downward pressure and opportunity to fail are important parts of game design for this genre. Working within the constraints of the design is part of the game. Not knowing a recipe and needing to discover it by trial and error is PART OF THE FUN. There are no more bugs than expected at launch, and nothing that won't be patched very soon (if not by the time you're reading this) - and I experienced none that significantly hurt my run. All in all, great game if you want m...

There are some games available on mobile phones. At first glance, they seem interesting and creative, promising a casual yet enjoyable experience. But after the first few levels, they become unnecessarily complex, forcing you to purchase tens of dollars worth of packages just to perform even the smallest tasks. Otherwise, the game becomes unplayable. This game continues that initial experience without sacrificing it. It demonstrates that a game can be made without being bogged down by the micropurchase scourge of today. That's why it maintains the casual experience I mentioned so long, and keeps you coming back for more and more. The game demonstrates its development by an experienced team in many ways. First and foremost, the art design is delightful, adding to the casual enjoyment. It flows naturally, eliminating the need for nonsensical tutorials. We instinctively sense what we're likely to encounter as we proceed. Because the game's mechanics are based on everyday cooking, we...

Wonderful game. 10/10. A few hiccups in the interactions with UI but this is the launch week and I have full confidence those bugs will get ironed out. Spent 4 hours in two days playing this and thinking about it when I wasn't playing it! Dangerous as this is finals week for my classes lol.

This genre isn’t usually my cup of tea, I really don’t think I’ll be playing that much but Sizzle & Stack hooked me right away. It’s got that perfect balance of relaxing card-stacking and just enough chaos to keep things interesting. The cooking theme fits perfectly, and there’s a real satisfaction in unlocking new recipes and upgrading your kitchen. If I had one small gripe, it’s that unserved customers hanging around between days can clutter things up, but it’s hardly a dealbreaker.

I love it! This is my first time playing a game like this. I love cooking games but this is also a card game. I played the demo a bunch before getting it. I'm so glad it had a demo because I love this game. It's cool figuring things out and then seeing how I can improve with each turn. I love that each card pack is a mixed bag and then you have different things you need to do. You have a card that can hold multiple cards and the one that can duplicate which is cool. You've got to cook, learn new recipes find the ingredients and tools, choose your upgrades wisely and look out for other things like trash and rent. Yeee! I love that the card packs also give you tools. At one point I needed to make pizza and I was like, but i don't have an oven. I opened another card pack and oven! Yee. I also like that you can look up recipes in the side bar search that is so helpful. I also like the sounds they make when they are eating.
