About the Game
Experience the cult hit that doesn't quit, Dr. Radiaki is here to tickle your funny bone until it really hurts. An unapologetic sense of fun and non-stop action meets in an unforgettably bizarre adventure!
The scheming Dr. Radiaki is going to destroy the entire world! For profit! And assorted evil reasons too! Need I say more? The doctor is horribly disfigured, totally twisted, and has a whole host of minions to do his bidding. Only you, special agent Mack Banner can finally rid the world of this menace! Also, I don't think anyone else wanted the job but that's beside the point.
It isn't just that "The Fortress of Dr. Radiaki" was one of the first games to pioneer a "unique" flavor of mouse control, or that its character renders are both classic and iconic. This game is a shooter where it counts. That's right, count 7 different weapons such as the baseball bat, samurai sword, pistol, machine gun, grenade launcher, flamethrower and an fashionable energy weapon. Trust me, you're going to need 'em.
How do you even prepare for this situation? Imagine 15 varieties of enemies, everything from stealthy ninja warriors, mutated alligators, robots with toasters for heads and giant babies in lederhosen, for some reason. This isn't just about being skilled in combat, it is psychological warfare of the highest caliber!
Navigate the fortress through 19 intense levels, each filled to the brim with fist pumping action and majestic, maze-like corridors. You might think you are ready, but that is just what Dr. Radiaki wants you to think!
The rats are very cool.

User Reviews
The Fortress of DR. Radiaki has always had a fond place in my memory. Even though I misremembered it as the Island of DR. Radiaki. Most people think that Quake is the first full 3d 3d shooter. And that may be true. But, I think that Dr. Radiaki had the first fully 3d character models . Which was impressive for the time. Anyway the game isn't breaking technical boundaries nowadays. Far from it. However, it is an enjoyable little time capsule to go back and see what shareware gaming was like back in the 1990's. The plot is funny and campy and the writing is great. The enemies are still pretty cool though the weapons are standard fair. The graphics aren't great but, the sound quality is still top notch. Overall it's a fun little romp to play especially with a controller and you can get the full version of the remaster at full price cheaper now than you could get the shareware version back in the 1990's. Give it a shot if you are into that era of gaming or are a fan of 3d shooters.
