Survive against hordes of Biotes—the lingering biotech experiments of past civilizations. Defeat bosses to gain the power to break through deeper cloud layers and descend deeper into the depths of the sky.
To survive, you must carefully upgrade your ship to contend with increasing dangers as you descend. Defeating Biotes earns you Bloil that your ship converts into Engine Parts. These Engine Parts can be installed in your Engine Grid—an inventory management puzzle system.
Placement of Engine Parts is key. Each Engine Part interacts with the grid in unique ways, creating powerful synergies. This forces you to carefully consider where each new part is installed, and plan your build accordingly. Weapons also have their own upgrade trees, redefining how they function, adding another layer of depth to your build.
