A first look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKMGBozQxn4 I'm going to be honest, I'm a 1000% biased if not more. The moment I played the demo, I fell in love with it, badly. And the countdown to full release was just absolutely horrible! What a wait. On top of RL, I had to wait an extra two days to play. But now I'm finally digging as if my life depends on it, just in a very slow-paced manner because my life doesn't rely on it. If anything, I have all the time in the world to enjoy this little gem of a game, which is very relaxing and carefree. And nothing or no one is ever going to change my mind that this game isn't beyond amazing. Tucked under a blanket, cats on my lap, beverage with me and controller in hand. I'll be MIA all night, and possibly all day tomorrow too. Come back Monday, I might be available then, lol. Now, if you excuse me, Digby needs me. We still have plenty of sand and other biomes to devour! And remember: magma/lava = fast travel to home. My favorite to get bac...

Cosy? Absolutely. Satisfying? For sure! Janky? Unfortunately. Simply put, it's a desert space full of items to collect that are then recycled into upgrades for your character (Digby, the magic shovel). Discover the history, stumble upon landmarks, dig away at the land to reveal it's truth. I'm 3 hours in, going by achievements alone I'm half way. Why mention 'janky'? Every now and then I find myself being blocked by invisible items or being dragged across the area by absolutely nothing. The dog companion gets stuck sometimes walking around and getting lodged in the bars of the upgrade area, but I'm assuming once I stray to far he teleports anyway to free himself. If you can ignore that like I try to, then it's still worth a play. I'm still learning to use the scanner properly, there wasn't much instruction there so often times I'll follow it but the item it found is in a different direction - Unsure if this is my bad understanding or maybe a very minor bug. I did turn the bright...
No clear feedback on what if anything the items you dig are actually for. Bugs like invisible objects or walls blocking walking paths. Upgrading unclear. Items unclear. Game progression unclear. PC fan spiking leads me to believe it is also poorly optimized as far as resource use. Generally below average for what is a new genre "digging", likely rushed to jump on the hype.
I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect when I picked up Cozy Holes, but it turned out to be exactly what I needed a slow-paced, relaxing, and surprisingly creative game about digging holes. The game has you in search of the family you've lost the the quest to find youself again.Every corner you dig feels like it could lead to a new surprise whether it’s a shiny geode, or a pit of deadly lava It scratches the same itch as games like Stardew valley, but with its own unique (and cozy) feel. Even though I’ve only played for about three hours, I’ve already unlocked 9 achievements and dug 25m below sea level —and I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface. The exploration is satisfying, the art is delightful, and the whole vibe is pure comfort. Perfect for when you just want to unwind, and pretend the world above doesn’t exist. Highly recommend if you're into chill, and games about holes, thats make with abit of love, and a whole lot of cozy.
This game is exactly what I wanted, A cozy and calm game! It's not just about digging holes, Its about reuniting with Digby's lost family! You can find hidden gems, stones, and even some golden shovels! You can upgrade Digby from digging speed to digging depth! You can eventually unlock your own special friend, Dogby! This leads to many surprises waiting beneath the sand or under any other level! This game will be perfect after a long hard day before you go to bed! Sit down, launch the game and just relax, and forget about all of your stress and focus on this peaceful game! I love how many surprises there are, from finding treasure, to randomly spawning tornadoes, to asteroids flying by! The creativity of this game is amazing! Beyond all that, I think one of my favorite aspects is just hanging out on the pier with Dogby, just watching the sunrises and sunsets.
A game that you can really get dug in with...had to. Cozy Holes is surprising relaxing, at first I wasn't sure if it would be for me but between the music and the curiosity to find stuff I have found myself loosing more hours into the game. I played the demo as well. To top it off my young kids have really enjoyed it, watching or playing. "Dad check here, dad dig there" and how can I say no to digging without the mess? If you want a game that's just relaxing and itches that discovery itch then I recommend giving Cozy Holes a shot.
Fun in the sun!
I cat. I dig. I love to dig. I dig more, for hours. (But seriously, you'll blink and four hours will have passed, so make sure you bring snacks - preferably cheese.)
Video: https://youtu.be/CVcUWqxQnP4 Cozy Holes is a charming game about digging holes and tunnels. You dig holes, find rocks and other things that you absorb into your shovel for magic. Use that magic to upgrade your shovel and start digging again. You'll find these tablets with story elements, and several different biomes to *explore*. There's also a dog you unlock who will dig stuff up at random for you. Some sort of twisters that dig holes and some underground buildings for you to dig up. The buildings seem to be... bugged maybe? Once you get inside them you can dig down to automatically clear out most of the dirt attached to them. I feel like it is a bug because it seems pretty strange otherwise. Digging itself feels fine, with upgrades coming at a pretty decent pace. As you dig you'll find gems and larger rock things. It is a steady flow of things popping out of the ground to absorb which leads to progress coming at a pretty streamlined pace. Nice. I did find navigat...
This game has the potential to be one of the best digging games. It's pretty fun
