Downwell

A very simple game. The mechanics are there and it makes it one of those that is easy to pick, but hard to master. The game is polished. So far I have never seen any kind of error in the game. Certainly the game is hard and going down a little bit more is always a good achievement. I'm not good at the game, but I can see its value. I recommend it, even if for casual gaming.

An Accidental Masterpiece, Downwell is a video game that is perfect in every aspect of game design. Downwell takes basic concepts and amplifies them. One button does it all and the goal is very simple, go down the well. When you start the run the game waste no time Introducing you to how everything works. You can quickly find out how to jump and shoot, it spawns an enemy that when landed on top of, it kills them and the further you go, it slowly starts incorporating new additions. New enemy types where if you touch them they hurt you, others where they chase you indefinitely, Hazards along the way that make you watch where you step, room upgrades that can either Give you health or more Ammo along with changing your weapon type, Upgrades as soon as you clear an area. Everything that was designed in this game feels like it was crafted in perfect unison with one another as if each component of the game aids the other. Easy to play, hard to master. Didn't think it would take me over 100+ hours just to 100% this game but here I am, it was a very challenging game, I dont want to do that again.

If you can match the challenging difficulty, this game is super addictive. Good retro aesthetic, great price, love the music and lots of stuff to unlock.
