This game reminds me when I was around 10-11 years old playing on the PS2. Ah, simplier times. Although I have never beaten the last boss, now that I'm 35, I fully intend too!

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is a solid package with some real highs and a few lows. FFX has an awesome story that pulls you in, with great combat that’s turn-based but still feels pretty dynamic. The party is fantastic, and the ending is an emotional gut punch in the best way. That said, Blitzball was a total drag for me—just not my thing. As for FFX-2, it’s a mixed bag. The freedom to explore is fun, but the story progression can be super confusing, making it harder to get invested. Overall, though, both games are worth checking out, especially for anyone who’s into a good story and solid combat.
I never played through or understood why many claimed FFX was peak or the best final fantasy before. despite being a somewhat shotty port and having to patch the game myself I can happily say I understand why many claim FFX is peak and I fully agree with them.
Oh my freaking GAWD, Final Fantasy X is the worst game ever. Who the hell thought that making combat as boring as watching paint dry was a good idea? The turn-based fights are so repetitive, it's like playing rock-paper-scissors with a brick wall. And don't even get me started on Blitzball, that shitty underwater soccer from hell. It's like they took the worst parts of actual soccer and slapped some water on it to make it unplayable. Who has time for that? Not me! And those mini-games? More like maxi-headaches. It's like the game keeps saying, "Hey, you know you wanted to play a story-driven RPG? Well, screw you, play this tedious crap instead to get better items!" I'd rather stick needles in my eyes than grind through the million years of side quests just to get a slightly less crappy sword. And the endless grind. Why do I have to spend hours fighting the same monsters over and over just to get strong enough to face the next boss? Can't they just let me enjoy the story without makin...
The cutscenes in Final Fantasy X are fantastic. CGI moments are beautifully composed, and even the in-game scenes look great. The world feels vibrant and alive, even in the first hour when there aren’t many NPCs around. Gameplay is classic Final Fantasy, though cutscenes can sometimes run long with little gameplay in between. Still, the characters are soulful, well-written, and feel like they truly matter. The character building gives the story a lot of weight. Mini-games have been a blast so far. Pulling off the Ject Shot is satisfying, and Blitzball, while brutal at first, became addictive once I started levelling my players. It’s tough early on, but cracking the system feels great. The other side missions and mini games are also awesome! The pace is decent, though slower than some earlier Final Fantasy titles. The linear map progression is a shift from the open designs of past entries, but it works here. Tomb puzzles are fun and challenging, and boss fights hit that sweet spo...
While it's always fun to play these old games again, you are greeted with "This game has auto save". While you'd imagine this is useful, this is an indication as to how often this game crashes, which is once per 45-60 mins or so. Makes any play, very frustrating... Clearly another one Square didn't port correctly to work on PC.
Best Game, Ps2-ps3-ps4-pc. best game. many hours and all the trophies. play through 50 times +, best game, buy it
The game forces you to play blitzball, which changes camera angle every time your character moves 5 millimeters. You might need a puke-bucket to get through it.
Final Fantasy X is an amazing game. Truly one of the greats despite some faults and everyone who likes RPGs should give it a play. But not on PC. This is one of the laziest, worst ports I have ever seen. Here are the glaring issues I've experienced. - Constant crashing. Game crashes after about an hour, maybe 2. There doesn't seem to be any real pattern, it mostly crashes in battle transitions but I've experienced crashing in cutscenes, world map, and in menus. Autosave helps...sometimes but considering a lot of the end game especially is grinding, you better do it around a save sphere. - Speaking of cutscenes, FMV cutscenes often just turn into a green screen and you can't see them. - Autosave is nice for the most part, I don't remember it being in the PS4 version but I could be wrong. However, the game decided it would be a great idea to autosave before a cutscene I accidentally triggered that is a mandatory super boss fight. This is mostly my fault for not knowing where I wa...
Awesome game, favorite Final Fantasy I've played. Just finished the story and it was pretty emotional. Extra content was great, though blitzball kinda made my head spin.
