Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® II

Campaign? A bit of fun. Multiplayer? A sweat convention where 14-year-olds with cracked reflexes high on energy drinks murder me easily with controller aim assist. But DMZ mode? This is the masterpiece!! Easily the best mode Activision’s ever released. The pacing is bang on, the gun play feels brilliant, and nothing beats the rush of finishing a map with your squad intact. It’s even heartwarming at times, meeting fellow players who share the same love for the challenge/frustrations, and yes, even spotting the occasional “dad gamer” clinging on with iron resolve and slug like reflexes spending a solid 5 minutes looking into a loot box hes already checked before. Since DMZ was spun off into its own launcher again however, it feels like Activision pressed “undo all patches.” Old exploits are back, underslung grenade/drill charge spam, weapons like the rgl and killstreaks duplicated until squads have more air support than an actual army, and cheaters using wall hacks and aim b...

fuck this shit game, can even start the campaing without having this shittty ass game crashing every 2 minutes absolute horseshit this game is

I can't even launch the game. I just get hit with a DirectX error every time I try.

Only played the campaign on veteran which is decent but incredibly bugged towards the end. I'm talking minute long death resets, lens flares shining through walls and missions getting stuck. Invisible snipers, enemies one-shotting and incredibly stupid checkpoints that literally spawn trap yourself. Some of these bugs have been in there for years. You can tell there have been lot's of artists and game designers putting their heart into it but the ever lasting bugs make it all fall apart.

This was a solid CoD campaign, with a bunch of cool setpieces and following up on the rebooted MW2019 approach with fresh new ideas as well as callbacks to the OGs. I will only say it sucks on Veteran, and the multiplayer is not as good as MW3's, but otherwise it's a fun ride.

DMZ is dead, full of cheaters and whiny babies. Would be the best gamemode COD had ever made, but they don't support this game anymore.

Screw activision and all of their employess. I would normally not put a review in on this game, cause it is a new COD which just isn't worth it. But this just happened and I am actually so angry about it. I log on to play games today, and figured MW2 remake would be ok, I kinda like this game unlike others. I played like 3 days ago and everything was normal. Now today, when I logged on I am level 1(was level 500+)and all progression is reset. Over this new pc, my laptop and my old xbox I have a couple hundred hours(all of the progression carried over each time)playing this game, I purchased some bundles, a couple battlepasses, earned gold and platinum on some guns and generally got a lot of stuff... now it is all gone and I have no idea why. My guns, progression, account level and everything has been reset and is gone. I am out on not only money I spent, but time I spent playing and earning stuff. I have deleted and re installed, verified files, signed out then back in and nothing. Ap...

Personally I don't get the low review score. Campaign is fine, game looks great, performance is good even on my old pc. Coop is also quite fun and way better than in mw (2019) even though that one had probably the better campaign. And I don't care for multiplayer.
