Life with a Homunculus

Man, it is really hard to recommend this game considering its asking price. Gameplay elements are very barebones (you only have like 3 actions during the week: Interact with your homunculi, take a walk and work). With nothing much in-between. The only major difference is that your homunculi can change personalities as she grows up. My main grip with the game is that it's pretty short. I read all dialogue and ended up taking 2 hours and a half to reach the ending, but someone skipping ahead only to get the cute and funny scenes can take 1 hour or less. Also, the night scenes have no sound and the actions you can do during said scenes are unsurprisingly limited. The game is by no means terrible, dialogue is OK, the art and animated scenes are pretty good, just keep your expectations in check, in case you are expecting Monochrome Fantasy level of content, this more akin to Living with My Little Sister and the price should be around the same too in my opinion.

As another person touched on, it is simply impossible to recommend this game for the asking price. The content is cute and well made but simply to limited. If you would only focus on progressing the "story" while not reading to much I think that there is 2 hours worth of gameplay max. Another thing that is annoying, is that the interface and controls are not intuitive and a bit limited. For example: pressing ESC does nothing most of the time, somethimes right clicking works for the same function but even that is only sometimes. Simply navigating this limited game is almost a hassle. Not the worst game by far, but there are better games for a lot less $$$.

Was looking forward to this. Unfortunately, it didn't deliver. There's just so little to do. Its very lacking in content, It gets repetitive fast. Touching session isn't intuitive, it'd help to change cursor based on clickable area, well not like its needed considering there's only 2 spot available. Clearly not for people with less patience. As for price, NAH for content, YAY for graphics.

[b] BUT [/b] you should definitely buy this on sale/discount... i dont think this is worth the prize. there is no gameplay really... story is kinda basic... and the game itself is very short... good things are the L2D is pretty okay and Felice is very cute (somehow i see Neuro-sama on her.. perhaps because of how the L2D was animated) --- ending was nice...

Grow a homunculus. Can be as wholesome (or not) as you want.
