Update 9/9/2015 Thanks to @Anonymous2012 for commenting and bringing to my attention that this game is being canceled to start a new project. Seriously. Also, it seems that Fivang was allowed to remove the game from early access and it's now listed as a finished product? Steam really needs to get their shit together. The fact that this "developer" has backed off this project now twice, thinks they will go onto a new project, and is saying this is a finished project is beyond comprehension. Fivang should be blacklisted from Steam. This is a joke. Update: So I went back to check in on Quest Event again since the vocal minority decided to question this review. Let me preface this by saying, at the time of the Original Review there was no gameplay. A developer that abandoned the project 2 years before hitting steam. And is now adding content. So with that said, I stand by my original review. This game is still way to early in any shape or form of development to be on Steam or the...

Edit: Another skill (cooking), different sorts of "fish" for your fishing skill and a shop for them were added. It also seems like the wood cutting skill for the Bandits Quest was changed to the fire making skill (When did that happen? Maybe I got it wrong when I wrote my review. ). As those things don't add to the story progress in any way (Yes, I played it again.), I won't change my review as such. So only small changes according to the updates were done. Pros: - Very nice, catchy and appropriate music. - Good idea with the wood cutting, fire making, fishing and cooking skill. - Endless supply to actually level your four skills (Trees and fish spawn again after a short while.). - Nice character art/design. Cons: - Way too short! - Only one dungeon available. - A total of four quests. - Quite a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes. - No Steam Achievements. I really liked the idea and concept of the game that you can level four skills which - for a change - don't have...
worst game ever xDD dont buy it! 20 min gameplay and the game just has no more quests.... you can grind some skills, but you dont gain anything from it in ANY way, so its useless grinding. since the game will not be continuid dont waist your money^^ also the grammar sucks PS: i downloaded RPG Maker 1 month ago ( first RPG Maker) just for fun, and already made a better and longer game than this xD except the grinding thing.
Love love love this game: If you like old school RPG's and level grinding this game is for you! The skills and leveling system is similar to RuneScape, mixed with turn based battles and dungeons to explore, and of course quests to go on. The music is great, the old school RPG feel is spot on, and what skills are available have been fun to level. The game is still in the early stages of beta development, so there are no scheduled updates, But ive spoken with some of the developers and they are making a lot of progress on the game. User input is highly desired and does impact updates to the game, there are weekly polls to choose new content, and all game suggestions are read and discussed by the development team, so there's a good chance your idea could be implemented some way into this game!! Would Highly Recommend this game to any RPG fan, especially if you enjoy turn based battles.
great start for this game. its very early in the game's development, so not much content yet. the thing i hate about this game is the grammar. i would love to fix it. it kills me.
So far - it's crap. The developer cancelled twice now - irresponsible, at best. Graphics are 8-bit era - which would be okay if their was a good story - which there isn't. So now it's allegedly a 'finished' game - bit only recently reaching version 0.7 or so. If you're interested in this kind of garbage, save your money and buy it if the price drops to $0.10 . I would love it if I felt the developer had any direction in mind, which I don't think there is. But, deep down inside, I really would like to see some substantial work, not just tiny updates every three to six months. My recommendation ? Put it on your wishlist until it's fully developed.
Was smart, when I saw the reviews, I waited to buy this 'til a sale selling for $0.50. So it's not like I paid much. Still not great. I would say this is a very condensed version of Runescape as a single player, except that the game is unfinished. I had to watch a walkthrough to find out how to heal myself because although a lot was ripped from Runescape, cooked food healing you isn't one of them. Interface is simple, only a few keys actually do anything and I've done three quests and can't find any indication there are more. I seem to have explored all the areas, The Forest, The Bandits, Cleverville and one other section I can't remember the name of. The tutorial doesn't really explain how to do everything and good luck getting help when you get stuck. Oh, and although I don't pay much attention to the storyboards, the misspellings and grammatical errors are prolific enough I noticed. It'd be a fun game...if it were actually finished. It just doesn't go very far.
Surprisingly good fro a basic RPG. Looks like the kind I used to make with RPG maker (1995 edition)
This game could've been such a great game.... Was so promising.... Sadly was left unfinished and I can't believe Steam lets people pay for this....
This is rubbish. two simple quests and then nothing to do except cut down trees and fish ???????
