About This Game

"8th Avenue" is a single-player exploration adventure game that combines anomalies, thrillers, and horror.

Players drive cars on the road, and there is a certain probability of encountering anomalies each time. If the player determines that there is an anomaly on the current street, he can choose to turn around. If there is no anomaly, he will continue to drive forward. If the judgment is correct, he will enter the next street. If the judgment fails, he will return to the initial street and fall into an infinite loop. Players need to leave this place from Eighth Avenue through their own efforts.

Game Features:

• Experience a variety of anomalies (obvious, hidden, interactive, thrilling, etc.);

• Simple driving operation, tricky first-person perspective, exciting game experience;

• Seemingly irrelevant anomalies, but actually hidden mysteries;

• The more anomalies you explore, the clearer the ending;

Overall, this is a solid 6.5/10 experience. It's your typical Anomaly genre game, and for what it's worth, the game is a decent one at that. Driving a car while looking for anomalies isn't a new take on this genre of games, but it's a welcome one as it hasn't been explored much. I've come across 10-12 anomalies in the three successful runs that I completed. I had some repeats, and a few that I only seen once. Most of the anomalies that I came across were pretty unnerving, and some even got a scare out of me! For that reason alone, if you're a fan of the genre and at the price, it's a recommend. But if you're someone looking get into the genre, maybe start somewhere else first. The game needs polish, the controls feel sluggish and the lack of proper sensitivity settings is a hard pass. There were times where my vehicle ran into an invisible wall and glitched out on turns. It wasn't often, but it was enough to be a bother. There are some lighting issues that made me ponder wheth...

EDIT: Changed to recommended after updates. The sound settings now actually work, though I still found that some of the anomalies are extra loud. It's not a perfect game by any means, it has a couple bugs (like accidentally driving into one of the alleys and having to reverse until you can actually see again), and the updates seem to have made the car harder to control, BUT. You can't go through 6 straight levels without ever seeing an anomaly anymore, and it actually feels like there's a bit of a challenge. If you like Exit 8 style anomaly games, and getting occasionally creeped out, I think this is a fun, short little game.
