Trine 2 is a beautifully crafted puzzle-platformer and action-adventure game developed by Frozenbyte that continues the enchanting story and gameplay of its predecessor with significant improvements and polish. The game invites players into a vibrant, fantasy world brimming with lush environments, rich colors, and a fairytale atmosphere that perfectly complements its whimsical yet challenging gameplay. At its core, Trine 2 blends physics-based puzzles, cooperative multiplayer, and platforming with light combat elements, creating an experience that appeals both to those who enjoy cerebral problem-solving and those who appreciate a well-paced, story-driven adventure. The game centers around three heroes—a wizard named Amadeus, a thief named Zoya, and a knight named Pontius—each with unique abilities that encourage strategic switching and creative problem-solving. Amadeus can conjure and manipulate objects to build bridges or lift platforms, Zoya excels in agility, ranged combat, and...

Cosy feelgood game. Nice to play both alone and together with friends.

It's just kinda worse in a LOT of little ways. Way too zoomed in, and the physics seem floaty and sluggish. Every thing is way too easy except some things are virtually insta-kill. Characters feel inept, and if you focus on box/platform upgrades you can bypass almost all the puzzles pretty early on. Most levels are super flat, often making me feel like I've missed something. Sometimes long sections have zero vertical at all. Feels like a completely different team made this game Edit: I've played it a lot more because I'm a masochist and want 100% and I am doubling down. 4/10 at best unless all you care about is "it looks pretty"

Best of the Trine series. So relaxing and wholesome. Best parts of the game is backgrounds, I love enchanting backgrounds in video games, they are just a picture, i know, but they make the game more lively. Story is not so profound and deep, it is even a kliche one. Hovewer game style and atmosphere make it joyfull game. I don't like some levels of Goblin Menace DLC but other levels were some different experience and i enjoyed them a lot.

Having completed Trine 1 and loved it, I tried Trine 2 and simply loved it too! Once again puzzles were really fun with many different methods to solve and also like the process of finding out secrets and getting all the experience and chest in each stages.

8.5 / 10 Played the main campaign all the way through on Medium mode with a friend. My god, the graphics are amazing, and the gameplay is a big improvement on the first game. Lots of gameplay dynamics between the three main characters, plenty of environmental puzzles, and lots of fun to muck around with. Recommended.
