About This Game

Objective

I set out to create an homage to the Classic RPGs of the 90's.  Heavily inspired by the games that I still enjoy playing to this day such as Final Fantasy, ChronoTrigger, Lufia, and Suikoden, while combining them with elements of Game of Thrones, World of Warcraft, The Dark Crystal, and Dungeons and Dragons.

I also wanted to provide a touch of realism and subversion to the fantasy tropes of the classic games. The story will take many twists and turns, blurring the lines between "Good and Evil".

Synopsis

The Last Chronomancer travels through the River of Time. Recently she has discovered that a tragic event is coming that will destroy not just the planet, but Time itself. She seeks to aid Six Heroes in their Journey to stop the oncoming Great Evil.

The Heroes begin their Journey in the Mountain Town of Pentam, and have come together to participate in the annual Kobold Hunt. The event attracts visitors, warriors, and adventures from all over Etheros. However, this particular Kobold Hunt will have a very unusual outcome.

The Heroes will grow, develop, and change as the story progresses. Relationships will be formed, and blood will be spilled. Will you be able to lead the Heroes to their destiny? Will you be able to change fate itself?

Very solid old school JRPG experience in the RPGMaker environment. Quick review SO FAR: Story 8/10 : Story evolves nicely as you progress and keeps you interested. There are some tropes but who doesn't like some of the classic tropes of the golden era. This game keep me coming back for its oh shit moments and overall pacing. I would bet money that the dev is an experienced Dungeon Master. Characters: 7/10 Characters feel alive and some have some amazing rapport! I wish there was a little more but I looked forward to all the interactions. Combat: 8/10 The combat and classes are pretty damn good! You get to use all the characters whether you want to or not and try varying styles of main parties. I love the replay ability this gives the game. I am in a constant struggle to decide who my "mains" are cause the choices are awesome!! The main style is classic turn based but there are some great additions that keep it from being your same old JRPG turn base experience. There are row swit...

With a well written cast, familiar rpg mechanics and beautiful hand-drawn characters. I say you'd be remiss to pass on this one.
