Overland

A mix of Xcom and Oregon Trail, this little indie game is still one of my favorites of all time. I first got this game as part of a Humble Indie Bundle years ago, decided to re-purchase it for the updates and I gotta say this is still one of my most replayed games of all time. The mechanics are simple and straightforward, but still fun after dozens of playthroughs. Whenever I am wanting to play something that isn't going to take all my time time, just a short jaunt of sorts, this is my go-to. The graphics do their job without being too much and the character/monster design is really charming for murderous extradimensional alien thingies. Would love to see a sequel to this game with maybe alternate routes/biomes you can travel through, but overall completely worth the pricetag.

Liminalism at it's best. Very replayable with a well executed atmosphere. Music is great too - sound design was a major consideration. Great game.
