About This Game

šŸ•¹ About the Game

In Blood Storm: Alien Purge, you play as Jia Hua, a rookie agent of the Federal Bureau of Anomalies (FBA).
A mission gone wrong leaves you trapped in an abandoned factory crawling with aliens, cybernetic zombies, and mutant horrors. To survive, you must blast your way through waves of enemies and uncover a dark government conspiracy lurking in the shadows.

The game combines classic arcade-style rail shooting with modern 3D visuals. Success relies on precision aiming, quick reactions, and careful reload timing. Expect a fast-paced, adrenaline-fueled experience with around 40 minutes of campaign content, designed for replayability and gradual skill improvement.

šŸŽ® Features

  • Arcade-Style Rail Shooting
Classic first-person rail shooter gameplay combined with modern 3D visuals. Easy to pick up but challenging to master, making it enjoyable for both newcomers and veterans.

  • Adrenaline-Pumping Gunplay
Carefully designed stages and enemy types deliver fast-paced firefights, smooth shooting mechanics, and moments of heart-racing intensity.

  • Immersive Storytelling
Follow rookie FBA agent Jia Hua as he uncovers the truth behind mysterious creatures and the dark conspiracies hidden inside the Bureau.

  • Mystery & Suspense
Step by step, unravel the secrets buried in abandoned factories and underground bases, experiencing a tense and bizarre world.

šŸŽÆ Difficulty Design
Inspired by the hardcore spirit of the NES era, this game is designed with true challenge in mind.
Enemies have higher health, and only precise shots to their weak points deal critical damage. During combat, they will often hide their weak spots between attacks, requiring quick reflexes, sharp focus, and sound judgment.
With enough practice, you can achieve the legendary mastery of being ā€œone with the gun, like John Wickā€, earning the ultimate glory of a one-credit clear.
This is a game for those who seek a real challenge — fight like a true warrior!

I really can’t recommend this game. It’s an on-rails shooter and at best just mediocre. The mechanics are very bare-bones: two guns, health, and reload. There’s no cover system, only occasional events where you have to hit circles in a specific order to pass a QTE. But the game doesn’t tell you which circle to hit. What I mean is: there’s a left and a right circle, and you basically have to guess which direction to press. I bought it for 6 euros and still think that’s too much. It runs on Unreal Engine, so the performance is really bad without FSR enabled. The fun factor is just not there, since it feels more like a point-and-click adventure than a well-thought-out experience. Maybe it’s for you – but it wasn’t for me! Edit: Because the developer replied to my review, I want to clarify a few things: 1. My account is private because I don't want everyone to see my profile. It's a matter of privacy, and that won't change. This was my first review because I noticed ...

I kinda like it. It's not the best rail shooter I've ever seen but I had fun with it for a bit tonight. It wears its influences on its sleeves, with a lot of nods to House of the Dead in particular. It's simple to play and does what I expected out of it. Really, it feels better to play than the House of the Dead Remake from a few years back and I haven't heard anything good about the recent HotD2 Remake, so I'm sure this is better than that too. I really appreciated the monotone voice acting in this one. It nailed the insane voice acting of those old light gun games. If the dev didn't intend for that to be a reference, well, just roll with it and don't tell anyone that! It fits! It's great on the Steam Deck. The track pad works really well to control the reticle and the Deck lends itself to quick pick-up-and-play sessions. I do have to agree with the other review that the reload animation does feel a little long, especially on the assault rifle/machine gun/whatever (I don't ...

Bit of mixed feelings with this one Didn't want to give thumbs down, because there is some potential in this. But at it's current state I wouldn't actually recommend it tho. (There should be rating option for thumbs middle!) + Looks kinda cool and fun + There is always room for new rail shooter games - Ugly colorful score points and texts (Reload!!!) in ugly font and ugly colorful outlines in enemy projectiles. (There is no option to turn these off, at least for now) - Gun reloading times are bit too long But as I said before, there is some potential in this to evolve P.S. Main character looks like a disturbing young version of James Sunderland from Silent Hill 2 ;)
