I completed the main story on hard difficulty, along with both DLC campaigns, so my review will be based on that.
Difficulty & AI
On hard, the game can feel brutal. The AI in the main story often spots you from seemingly impossible distances, even through foliage, making stealth much harder than it should be. This forces you to be extremely cautious and methodical, though at times it feels unfair.
Gameplay
When everything clicks, lining up a long-distance shot and watching the cinematic bullet cam is very rewarding. The sniping mechanics (bullet drop, wind adjustments, steadying your aim) are still engaging even today. The mandatory assault-rifle and close-quarters sections are pretty good as well.
Story & Setting
The plot is forgettable and very by-the-numbers, but the jungle environments are quite atmospheric for a 2010 release. Some of the level design encourages creativity in how you approach targets, which I appreciated.
Soundtrack [/h3...

Good game. Solid storyline on the single player side. Not sure on multi even if there is one anymore. I played to just have fun and it was a shooter's dream.
It's funny how an old game from an established series can feel like you're testing a prototype and not a playing an actual release. Such is the case here. It's simple, primitive and full of flaws. And yet, it's kind of fun, if you set your expectations accordingly.
Garbageware. Steam won't issue a refund because I was over the 2 weeks purchase limit. Fine, keep your $5.
Sniper Ghost Warrior is a very interesting game, where you mostly play as a "SNIPER". The game is really good, the mechanics... It makes me hate the game sometimes, but I would definitely play it a thousand times.
This game for it's time is alright. The graphics looks good for a 2010 title. The sound design for the snipers are great but not for the assault rifles. It's not an impressive sniping experience. The sniping feels awkward sometimes. There's nothing special about the game rather than it being a generic sniper game. It has a story with some twists and that's all about the game.
3/10
Nice game for it's age. Good pace, lovely cinematics
I have had to separate runs at this game just to give it a fair shake. The first go was mouse and keyboard and it got so boring and buggy that I gave up. The second run was short and sweet. Wanting to try it out as a more console experience I plugged in my Xbox controller and started it up. Here is the head scratcher. I can move in the menu with my controller and do everything I need to do. But once the game starts the Xbox controller no longer works. OOOooops. Well I did about 5 seconds of troubleshooting and decided this is NOT worth it! Not going to try this again. I will see if SGW2 has the technological advances needed to make a CONTROLLER work in game!
Somewhat glitchy. it isn't bad for the first effort in a series if you want to be completist,
