Same game different year. Same hardware malfunctions on PC, they're aware around half of PC users can't play and said F it we're going live. My experience with the game: Download 94 GB. Launch Game. Give Email - Decline Opt In Compile Shaders 1. Complie Shaders 2. Crash. Update to Latest Bios, set to Defaults, Latest Graphics driver (Driver Only), Factory reset Graphics. Launch Game. Compile Shaders 1. Complie Shaders 2. Crash. GPU failed with error code 0x887a0006 GPU Name: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT 0x887a0006=The GPU will not respond to more commands, most likely because of an invalid command passed by the calling application. Had hopes 2k would fix it but that's never happened before, not sure why I had hope.

Game Simply does not work on amd 90 series gpus. A MASSIVE company with NBA funding can't make a game run on a brand new graphics card. I actually wanted to play but screw my hardware i guess.
Off to a great start 2K, I just bought 50 dollars worth of VC, money got taken out of my steam wallet and everything and I got no VC. Reset the game and steam 3 times just to make sure it wasn't on my end.
It's better than 2K25, there isn't much of a community on pc so I'd suggest waiting for major price drops in the future. Probably the best game in the "Next Gen" era of 2K's, I still personally prefer 2K24's gameplay. Performance: Game ran fine on my 16 Gb Nvidia 4060 ti, stable gameplay with a few hiccups here and there. Some abnormally long loading times but it was the first time the menu's were being loaded so I'll give it a pass. Modes: The same thing as last year, the game is a roster change for 100$. MyCareer has great additions but most of those are for the online, which is primarily targeted towards the console release of the game. Dribbling: Better than 2K25, still worse than 2K24. Very few dribble styles that work against cpu or online. Feels realistic besides the drastically increased gamespeed, which I welcome. Shooting: Best in this generation, if you time the shot it will go in. Insane that they removed that in 2K25. Shooting has probably never been easier to maste...
AMD 9070 XT GPU - game is unplayable and crashes upon launch, same as 2k25.
I have a ryzen 7 7800x3d and an rtx 4090 and I'm still having having crashing issues. I have tried recommended settings, lowering resolution, and running the game at as low settings as possible but still cant get past the bs unskippable my career intro. I've been having it crash going into the intro game, black screening just before it loads in, and even if i do get in I've had an issue with the ball teleporting back to the person who passed it, so whenever a team is in-bounding the ball goes back to the passer and is an out of bounds turnover. EDIT: I deleted the game and re-downloaded it, along with going to task manager and closing anything mod related like curse forge, voicemod, etc. and so far that has seemed to work.
Bruhhh DONT BUY the main menu is off rip CRASHING as soon as I boot it up Idk what it is with AMD its just like 2k25 I couldn't even play the city anymore after getting a 9070xt cause it would crash as soon a s city boot up just cop on console or just dont buy I am refunding
Game is extremely buggy with the passing glitch where every time you pass the ball it goes right back to the player and makes it basically unplayable. if anyone knows how to fix this please let me know I've been trying to fix it for over 8 hours. EDIT: I got everything to work no crashes no black screens and especially no passing glitch. Use CTRL + Shift + Esc to open task manager and close anything mod related (EX: WeMod, VoiceMod, Thunderstore mod manager AKA Overwolf)
I have not played 2k since I think 2k18, because the games were progressively getting worse. I felt some nostalgia the other day so I decided to nab 2k26. Boy oh boy... this game is so awful. Granted I will still play it some, to continue to get that nostalgia, but it is just so disappointing. This year apparently they made the decision that any online games are gonna be green or brick on the shooting timing. This is very annoying, especially playing online with latency and lag. It feels like shear luck. If you are just slightly late or early, you have a 0 percent chance of your shot going in. On the flip side, some players who don't have jobs or school and just play this game all day, have perfected their timing so that as long as they are decently open, they will never miss a shot. This problem is much worse than just 3 point shooting however... someone at the 2K design team slammed their head on their desk, got brain damage and then decided to make it mandatory that the shot meter b...
As someone who doesn't play online modes often, there's enough for me to do. However, they need to add cross play to the Steam release, as it is extremely difficult (as always) to find an online game in MyTeam. Especially when challenges require you to do so. Waiting 20+ minutes to MAYBE get into an All-Star Teamup game is ridiculous, even in pre-release.
