In theory a decent little game, and fine for the price asked/playtime provided (~2hr including idle time to get all achievements for me) Easy to learn and understand, but can also provide challenges once you up the difficulty level.. Now why I dont recommend the game: The enemy ai has an aimbot with any type weapon over any distance, which in itself wouldnt be that bad, if the enemies would atleast look your direction. But instead they are looking somewhere completly else, leaving the player to wonder where they got shot from. Also the enemy sometimes seems to be able to shoot trough the top of objects you may find cover behind. This all is obviously not game breaking, but it gets really annoying quickly, which is something you dont really want when playing for fun, at least in my opinion. Thats why, until that gets fixed, I wouldnt recommend this game.

WW2 but everything is made of polygons and the Germans have Aimbot. The gunplay is kind of lack luster in my opinion. You cant switch to your secondary if you're reloading and you auto reload when on empty. The muzzle climb and flash seem over exaggerated. Be prepared to experience a full blown Parkinsons attack instead of a flinch mechanic when you get shot. Smoke grenades while plentiful don't seem to actually provide much cover from gunfire or give you any sort of advantage in advancing forward. The Germans are so anti-american in this game that it takes 2 rounds of 30-06 out of a M1-Garand to grant one a dirt nap but only one round from any other rifle in the game. The Campaign was short and it wasn't bad overall. The different maps and settings were neat and for the most part really well done. The bad part is that the Germans tend to rush to one spot to fight you leaving vast areas beyond the initial area where the fights begin feeling widely unused and empty. The one tank mission...

I really wanted to like Market Garden, and I hate writing up a negative review, BUT this is truly a *slog* of video game to get through. Which is a shame because there are nuggets of potential within the game, and I wish the developers the best in carrying forward what they have learned from Market Garden. So, why did I like Market Garden? That's really difficult to explain other than this was clearly a passion project to some extent. The level aesthetics are fantastic, the characters, pickups, and weapons all look fantastic. The sound design has some real chonk to it. There are appropriate music tracks, though they can meander and repeat on short loops. *However*... the issues quickly pile up after the first level, Son Bridge. There are issues with the colors that will either go unnoticed or will cause your eyes to strain. The CRTV effect seemed to help, user experience may vary though. The level design is kind of awful, with the exception of the level, "Driel." And Koevering being ...

Market Garden, or MG from now on, is a simple FPS with bots, with graphics a bit cartoon-y and voxel-y a la "Minecraft", but with gameplay more similar to the classic Call of Duty: Worlds at War or the old WW2 Medal of Honor games. It is short (only 8 missions, plus "defense mode"), it is kinda exciting, if you like that sort of graphics, and it is cheap (under $10 USD). If you dig that sort of retro aesthetics and gameplay, it's worth a try, esp. when many games are well over $50 and some approaching $100. The missions are only VERY loosely based on Operation Market Garden, as you will switch among various perspectives, many of which really makes no sense. One mission you're playing American 101st Airborne, next you'll be playing the British Paratroopers, then another mission you'll be playing as the Polish parachute brigade, then another mission you'll be playing as an American tanker (who somehow was sent ALONE to clean up the area full of Panzers and Wehrmacht soldiers with unl...

Really terrible gameplay. Can't cancel reloads, meaning you can't heal, sprint or do anything else when being shot at in order to save yourself. AI can see you from miles away, routinely shoots through walls you can't, shoots at you *without even looking in your direction* and is unaffected by smoke grenades. Gunplay is not much better, ironsights are hard to see through and don't work half the time, as mentioned before, reloads can't be cancelled, and most of the guns feel horrible to use and are wildly inaccurate even when using ADS. Not to mention how much your character flinches when hit, making it next to impossible to land a shot in the thick of it. The aesthetic is pretty ugly too, and enemies regularly are indiscernible from the crunchy background.

Game is fun. I like the jank, but there are some bugs that should be fixed, like getting trapped behind stacks of boxes and unable to move. But some jank is welcome in a retro indie game so it's not the end of the world. Only on 3rd mission but liking the game a lot already. Very good purchase for its price.

Graphics are pretty good and I like the CRT effects, but that is the only good about it. In my more or less 8 minutes of playing this fully developed game, I did not have any fun. Germans will bum rush you in the start of the game and your Thompson has more recoil than what other FPS will give an AK. You just can't go full auto or even walk a step or your sights go so up that you miss everything. Gotta basically shoot one round at a time and don't get me started with the weapon responsiveness. Every time I reload the other gun which is the M1 Garand I have to wait what feels like a whole second before I can aim down my sights again, and to make it even worse the dang Germans don't even die in a shot or two but like in 3 to the chest. Lastly the enemies half the time don't even look at you but you get shot anyways. The game needs more time to develop and would be better off listed as an Early Access game instead of a full release.
