The most exciting aspects of rugby league.

Gameplay:
The game is very repetitive and lacks interest when played on easy mode, while the higher difficulty levels require far too much practice to master, which is a shame. I think this game needs a revamp of its difficulty levels to make it more user-friendly, as this is its only flaw. The gameplay is much more enjoyable than in previous versions. It is still limited, but the game still offers a lot of fun and enjoyment. The developers have focused heavily on spectacular gameplay and the well-known 30 yards try which contribute to the spectacular reputation of rugby league. The game of conquest is very difficult; you really have to favor footwork and spectacular one-on-one breakthroughs to win games. This requires a high level of skill of the game in the higher difficulty levels.
Don't lose patience and keep learning to dominate the game, and you'll end up enjoying it a lot. Having bought this game on two separate platforms, with a significant amount of playtime on PS5, I have a clear perspective on its development. It's undeniable that the game's launch was challenging, marked by a number of issues. However, Big Ant Studios has demonstrated a commendable commitment to addressing these problems. The game's foundation is the Rugby League Live 4 codebase—a title that, it's important to remember, was met with largely positive reviews. The premature end to that game's post-launch support was due to the publisher, TruBlu, halting development. Therefore, the current title can be seen as the game that fans were rightfully anticipating eight years ago, a situation that is not the fault of the developers at Big Ant. Despite criticism, Big Ant is diligently working to improve the game. Recent updates have introduced notable enhancements, including refined stamina mechanics, a new feature where you can drop your playmaker to a pocket, new animations, additional c...
Updates are good, the game is getting better, depends on what camera angle you use.. I find commentary the best.. With commentary it's pathetic .. Cameran Smith his voice is crap.. good tackle etc.. and Broncos vs Bulldogs they call Broncos Bulldoze.. 1 other thing would be good is a challenge on ref's calls.. and headgear they come in black or white graphics there need improvement.. Commentary is really bad
COUNTLESS bugs in this game, the amount of offsides i get given against me because reasons, it doesn't switch player just tackles them regardless, so many forward pass calls and stupid high tackles that you cannot control, players running into eachother creating the biggest gaps, passing, getting hit then the computer auto passes to a forward man, simple coding and simple bug issues, crazy to charge £50 for this broken game
Keeps crashing, pile of shit
This game is far worst then Rugby League 2.. If your planning to get this game, buyer beware it is not worth the $99, it has a range of issues in the gameplay and menu.. I saw the reviews and I thought I'd give it a go and a chance from Big Ant. My goodness there is a range of bugs! Issues: - Players glitch from not going into the onside position and fall out of line - Too many knock-ons or when kicking ball attempts to be a knock-on - Tackle count is set to 0 and not properly to tackle 1 in some random occasions. - Knock on advantage cannot be played at - Online mode lags consistent at a 25-30 ping level which is terrible Suggestion on improvement: - Referee has no sponsorship or real refs or touchie names could be used in-game - Clock counter - Minutes should be at the Player discretion if to slow/normal counter in the Game options then fast speed - Support Playstation Controller on the Steam Version as well as Xbox Controller, it is terrible to not understand the func...
If you want to play online forget about it because the second you score your opposition will imediately leave and quit. A ban should be enforced for this action. The ruling in this game ssucks as several times I have versed opponents they have knocked it on and still some how ending up in their favour. the controls sucka and are hard to learn. if your conssidering buying this game don't its not worth it. I wouldnt buy this crap again if costed $5 instead of $100
Few points here. - difficulty bringing in an extra defender around the try line to stop a try -add more ability to drive attacking players over sideline with defense -being able to preset posssibly a support player as in dylan edwards or james tedesco to support for offloads. - a dummy half kick -grubby kicks arent powerful enough. If you could add curvurture to the the ball. -half doesnt travel to otherside of the field to kick on last. Ball ends up with a centre. -how tp call more backs in to take early get out of trouble hitups - seems to be an issue with the choosing to go a certain way with a pass if an animation comes from one side to the other leading to an unexpected pass playing on steam deck in close end view. - close end view at turn over of possession after last update today has started bringing up a ble screen for lower quarter of screen - the game is very linear seems like a big difference in this and fifa is the ability to run in more directions the one at the same tim...
better than day one but still not up to expectations
Honestly, it's come a long way from that launch. Still a few weird things that happen with the AI, and the big hit animation is pretty clearly a shoulder charge (No penalties for being hit off the ball either), but the core of what makes a decent enough League game is there. Big Ant, please make free agency more apparent in coach mode too, as well as making it more evident where each player is at overall wise. Many a time have I signed a player thinking they were coming in this season only for them to come in next season
