Where do I begin with this game... First of all is it worth 100 bucks? Absolutely not. Inconsistent calls from the umpire have plagued this game, 5m kick will be paid as mark for opposition but not your team. The marking system is pre much RNG. From centre bounce players will streak down the field and not care about being open for next possession. Players will also fail to pick up any loose players, strictly sticking to their assignments, so if their player marks the ball, they'll just stand there and gaze off into the distance. I mean I could go on and on again about the countless bugs and glitches in this game, I knew what i was prepared for when I bought this game, but I can't help but wonder what it would be like if EA made this instead of Big Ant. ALSO IF I DECLINE A CONTRACT IN MYCAREER, WHY DOES IT AUTOMATICALLY MAKE ME STAY AT THE CLUB??? IM GUESSING CAUSE FREE AGENCY DOESN'T EXIST IN THIS GAME.

room for improvement but still a good game, really dislike that there is a 25 year limit on your save as I would take this many centuries into the future if it werent capped. gameplay is good fun 4/5

Despite a lot of negative feedback, I actually don’t think AFL 26 is a bad game. I’d recommend picking it up when it’s on sale though. The gameplay is fun, and the management career mode adds a good level of challenge. The player career mode could be improved—right now, you feel like you need to be involved in the ball 24/7 since your AI teammates struggle to control it. I’d recommend choosing a midfield or ruck role for the best experience. Graphics aren’t terrible, but they could definitely be more realistic given modern technology. They feel closer to something from around 2018–2020. The only bugs I’ve really noticed are minor ones, mostly during replays. Overall, a solid game with room to improve, but enjoyable if you’re an AFL fan.
