Village Tale

[b]Village Tale[/b] is a cute little pixel-art idler that plays like [i]Rusty's Retirement[/i] if Rusty were building a wee village instead of a robot farm. It hangs out above your taskbar, and manages to be interesting without being distracting -- so, basically, it's the perfect workday idler. [h3]Gameplay[/h3] [b]Controls.[/b] 100% mouse (even navigation uses the scrollwheel). It did not recognize keyboard or controller input. [b]Gameplay.[/b] Standard capitalism idler: Place resource-generating buildings, sell goods, gradually earn money, and slowly level up to unlock new items/work stations. [b]Playtime.[/b] It took ~20 hours of occasional interaction to unlock every area, place and upgrade every building, and score 50 of 54 achievements. I'd estimate another ~10 hours to 100%. Actually really enjoyed the game for *most* of the experience. I was able to buy every single thing and decorate every single tile available (Even though making the village look nice and cohesive slowed my game efficiency down) but after about 20ish hours, I no longer had anything left to buy or add to my town, while I slowly let the game build up Mastery Stars of the various products to get the remaining achievements; which was quite boring. Something to spend my money on once you've built every building (Outside of hosting the festivals) would be nice for the end game.
