so, there's a lot i want to like about this game. the puzzles seem alright, and i love being able to dress up the vocaloids. the game is stylistically cute, and i played the first game like crazy on my switch. however, there are a lot of small issues that compounded to make me dislike this. first: mistakes. i absolutely hate when picross games show me when i make mistakes without me asking, especially when i'm penalized for it (i should be allowed to misclick!). this game is better than some others, where one mistake takes away a perfect rating, in that it allows 3, which i do appreciate because that does give me some leeway for misclicking. still, though, i'd really prefer to be able to get the entire puzzle wrong and figure out my mistakes myself instead of being immediately told i messed up. second: the music. i actually really like a lot of the songs in the game, however there are some i like quite a bit less. my options on levels seem to be: loop one song repeatedly on all...

Nice game
Love it. I buy Miku things and I am never let down. I had no idea what nonograms were before this, and I ignored the old miku logic paint game because it was dusty. New shiny one came out, had to become logical. Really addicting, and if you get really hyperfocused on stuff like I do, set yourself a timer to get up and stretch a bit. I've had like 5 hour sessions of just staring into the logical abyss. My ONLY gripe.. devs.. look at me. The music is mostly wonderful but there isn't a button to skip a song if you've got it on shuffle. My workaround is to pause the puzzle and go back in for a song refresh. Seriously. My first few days of this I got sick of the shuffle repeating my least favorite songs and just put on Puzzle Piece People (that's the best one!) and zoned out for 2 hours and almost had an out of body experience. I really was a Puzzle Piece Person for a while. PS. I've put 64 god damned hours into this game. I did some guess math and a full clear at 10 mins per puzzle ave...
a picross game designed by people who have never played picross, with awful design choices designed to wheedle into your skull, such as: -the worst confirm noise, an ear-piercing screech that you will hear every time you move a square unless you mute the sfx entirely -solving puzzles by filling in lemon-yellow squares on white -a hint system that is simultaneously overzealous and coy -automatic mistake correction with no way to turn it off -a selection of music that ranges from awful to abysmal, with minimal options for shuffling (you get one song or all songs) -no access to options during puzzles -zero accessibility options garbage picross game. i'll probably 100% it. spend your money on squeakross instead.
Don't enforce correcting my mistakes or im not playing your picross game (also this game is way too fucking loud)
i hope jerma plays this and i dont have direction in life anymore again
i love miku picross :3
It's a Hatsune Miku game where you solve nonograms to unlock clothes and furniture to decorate your room and play dress up with silly characters. There is a hyper specific demographic being catered towards here and I am one of them.
If you love nonograms (aka, Picross) and you love vocaloids, then I can't imagine this wouldn't be a worthwhile purchase for you. Everything is so cute and I love that there are so many collectibles and customizations to unlock. I've been playing for hours and there's still so much I have left to unlock. One thing that was a little frustrating was figuring out how to set specific songs to play while I'm puzzling and I either had to look at the community page or Reddit to figure out how to create my own playlist. I kind of wish the music player was just integrated into the Pause Menu so that you could change your music during a level but it's not like it ruined the experience for me. There is only one thing I absolutely could not stand and it's the tinny "sparkle" sound that the cursor makes when you move it around during a level. I had to turn all sound effects off because it just drowns out everything else. For a game that otherwise has great sound design, this is kind of annoying but...
