So I bought Nebulock thinking: “Hey, a cute lil’ retro bullet-hell with blocks. How hard can it be?” Answer: Yes. Just yes. The first boss politely sprays some bullets my way like it’s trying to invite me to a tea party. I thought, wow, what a charming game. By the third boss, I was being waterboarded by neon death Legos. Bullets coming from every direction, blocks exploding in patterns that I’m pretty sure require an astrophysics degree to predict, and my ship moving like it’s trying to dodge taxes rather than bullets. Upgrades? Yeah, you can get them. But you’ll still die, because this game doesn’t want you to win—it wants you to earn your victory by offering up your pride, sleep schedule, and possibly your firstborn. But you know what? It’s fun. Infuriating, yes. Like “throw your controller, scream at your cat, and question your life choices” fun. But when you finally down a boss after dying 47 times, it feels like you just ended a blood feud that’s been...

About This Game
Nebulock is a short bullet-hell game with intense gameplay.
Get in your spaceship and fight a variety of different bosses.

Go through many levels defeating bosses made up of blocks. Destroy their armor, cannons and break the core!

Each successive boss gets more powerful, its blocks are stronger, and its projectiles do more damage. But the higher the risk, the greater the reward.
Destroyed blocks drop resources that you can spend to upgrade your ship.
If you can't defeat the boss, you can go back to previous levels, stock up on resources and return to the battle with renewed vigor.

Twin-stick shooter controls
30 levels with bosses
80+ ship upgrades
3 difficulty modes

Great game
[i][b]I like how it forces players to keep moving and thinking. After clearing a stage, there's an upgrade tree, just like in other games, so you feel significantly more powerful with each stage you clear. Because the bullets you fire are slow, you have to anticipate enemy movements and dodge dense bullets. Great fun at a great price.
I only played one save on hard and it look 6 hours, half of it grinding for no reason. 10/10 would fight the second boss again.
yes.
One of the best incremental games
odd difficulty scaling killed the experience.
Good game, definitly worth the money. Difficulty feels a bit weird at some points.
Short, a little basic as far as game play, but worth the price. The tech tree has just enough depth to give some early choices meaning as to how you approach the early levels, but you get enough cores to not lock you out of anything long term. The first enemy in each tier gets a little damage spongy, but otherwise progression feels nice.
