About This Game

Do you love games that provide true mental challenge?

Rainbow Hero is a clever 2D puzzle game where levels may seem impossible at first glance but ingeniously simple when you've figured it out.

The rules are simple yet each challenge will require thoughtful solutions.

Best of all, Rainbow Hero lets you turn back time so you can never become stuck! Experiment and try new approaches to find your way through every level.

Rainbow Hero combines multiple game mechanics such as:

 • Travel on multi-directional platforms until they hit obstacles.
 • Teleport characters or their items.
 • Reflect the lasers off walls to clear the path.
 • Control two characters simultaneously with added depth for puzzle solving.
 • Unlock hidden passages, bounce balls, rotate parts of the world and a lot more!

I absolutely adored this game. A pure puzzle and logic game where you have to push, pull, and transport yourself and blocks across gaps, holes, etc. Some puzzles are trivial, but most required a bit of thinking, and some are downright demonic! Lovely way to spend time!

The two negative reviews (so far) are not based on gameplay. This is a beautiful fun game. At times it seemed a bit easy - but never boring, because even the easiest levels were clever, and often I would have 5 or 6 false starts so that when I completed a level I felt I deserved a nice pat on the back. Rainbow Hero Its a simple block-pushing puzzle game with every 20 levels introducing a new element. I enjoyed it a lot (often telling myself, "okay, just one more level... then I'll go to bed") over the five days it took me to complete the whole thing. I am a lover of puzzle games, and in my opinion, this game is well worth the few dollars it cost.

This game is an absolute steal for $2. It has 100 logic puzzles with plenty of variety, though the basic goal remains the same throughout: get your character(s) to the exit. The gameplay is rather like sokoban. I found it mostly challenging and really satisfying to beat levels that gave me trouble. The graphics are moderately attractive, the highlight being the animated, colorful backgrounds. The music is somewhat repetitive, but I found it tolerable at lower sound settings. The game doesn't require you to beat all the levels to finish it, so if you have difficulty with some of them, you can still continue. I've finished about 80 of the levels, which took me about 7 hours. I'm probably going to go back and try to beat them all.

PROS: *100 hand-crafted puzzles, many of which are very clever *Forgiving rewind feature *Multiple mechanics to keep the gameplay varied *Generally, completing a puzzle unlocks two more, so the player can abandon puzzles that are too difficult and still make progress *Cheap even at full price NEUTRAL: *The story is standard "restore the world" fare and adds no real value to the game, but it also does no harm *The visuals get the job done, but nothing more CONS: *On the better graphics setting, the game crashed several times, but I found that switching to the poorer graphics eliminated the problem entirely *No difficulty scaling: each world felt about as difficult as the others except for the last chapter, which was very easy *Repetitive music *The game doesn't seem quite long enough for all of the mechanics that it introduces *A few later levels have time limitations that don't quite fit the established pace of the game or impact the gameplay, but this is minor *Walking speed is a b...

Nice little Game, but I can't recomend it for "Offline-Players" because you must be log in to play this Game. Dear Developer: I do change my Review, if you remove this issue.

Excellent puzzle game! A great brain challenge. 100 different puzzles ranging in difficulty. Some are really simple and others are really difficult! Some are disguised as difficult but are deceptively simple when you look at it the right way. Definitely recommend if you like challenging puzzles.

I'm definitely recommending the game "Rainbow Hero." It's an excellent little puzzle game that involves using a character or two to activate/push certain objects to open a path in each of 100 levels. It took me 15.5 hours of really nice gameplay to do so with 100% Achievements (the Achievements basically say you've done all the levels). I've got to say that some of the levels are downright diabolical (I wonder how the developer came up with them). I do have a few minor issues, though: - Some of the levels have a wind noise in the background. Unfortunately, that noise cuts in and out. It's a bit irritating. - Some of the levels have some kind of distortion sphere "dripping" down the screen (perhaps like rain on a window). I found that to be distracting. - A few of the levels are timed. My personal preference is to NOT have any timed levels. But, that's my problem. - And finally, the ending could use another scene where the people say "Yay!" or something. As it is, the ending ...

If you take the basic block-pushing puzzles of Sokoban as base and add in some new mechanics and change them around every now and then, that's basically Rainbow Hero. Movable platforms, teleporters, two character that can either be changed between or need to be controlled at the same time and more are introduced at steady intervals to keep the experience from going stale. There are no enemies present at all. Nothing is ever trying to kill you, so you can take all the time you want to solve the puzzles in peace. Except for the two or three puzzles that are, for some reason, timed. But thanks to the ability to rewind time (not as a puzzle mechanic, just to fix your mistakes) even those don't feel frustrating. The game has a 100 puzzles but it feels a bit on the short side, I managed to 100% the game in six hours without using any help. There were a few puzzles that initially look very difficult, but then they ended up not being that. The difficulty stays fairly consistent throughout th...

Looks like a good game, but it hangs for me on the level named across. I have to ctrl-alt-del to bring up the task to exit. Then I have to start the gymnaistics to convince steams that I am no longer playing the game. Happy to change my review once this is fixed.
