The UI feels unpolished, but I've otherwise been enjoying the game. I especially like how they handled the in-game economy (there's no microtransactions or anything). You build your "towers" with shells, which are provided at the start of each level and also drop from enemies. If you run out of shells, you can emergency purchase towers with gold, which is earned from doing challenges and rewarded at the end of each stage. The gold is also used to maintain your garden at the main menu, so you don't want to just throw it away, but you also don't feel too bad when you need to use some. Everything feels purposeful. There's hidden items throughout each level, but thankfully the game will highlight them one at a time if you spend a few minutes without finding one. Some are clipped into rocks or otherwise nearly impossible to detect. I like the secrets better in concept than how they were implemented here. Doesn't detract from the overall game, though.
