Score big, stack relics, and outplay a deck that’s very clearly out to get you. Every run is a snappy, snarky duel with fate, packed with weird combos and rule-breaking relics that change the game mid-run.

What starts off as a simple decision around what 2 cards to put in the crib...

Quickly turns into an adrenaline-fueled chain reaction of card modifiers that amp up your score.

Combined with a set of carefully selected relics and potions that can launch your hand scores into the stratosphere.

You will need to become a master of chaining together all the tools that Cribbish puts at your disposal if you hope to beat the final Elite Challenge!

So the cribbage rouge-like (Crubbish) is fun, but that is primarily because Balatro is fun. There are issues I have with the game that prevent me from recommending it. It doesn’t do enough to distinguish itself from its main inspiration (Balatro). Basically you are playing your main hand and the crib as a second hand every round to source points to meet a goal. This is fun as you sculpt two hands with different amounts of information. The scoring of a cribbage hand is different, but in practice it doesn’t feel that different from sculpting a good hand in Balatro. An issue I have found in Cribbish is a pull toward build variety, having a lot of 5s is good, great when paired with cards worth 10, especially jacks. The other cards might feel more important if there was pegging, but alas. There is no pegging. I understand capturing a very multi-player aspect of the game would be very hard. I would assume pegging would also generate small numbers which differ from the explosive point ...

Cozy cribbage roguelike that makes it really easy for that "just one more run" feeling to keep happening

I bought this game because I am a fan of cribbage and Balatro. Unfortunately, this game under delivers on both of these fronts. To make the game work as a single player experience, the developers had to change some things that make the game no longer feel like cribbage. You basically just have two hands which are scored separately. On the other side, the game takes a lot of inspiration from Balatro, but it takes the parts that work and doesn't capture what makes them good in the first place. For instance, there are modifications you can apply your cards, but there are way too many possible modifications, and some of them are worded in a way where it isn't clear what the modifications actually do. It has the "number go up" aspect of Balatro, but the sound effects aren't nearly as satisfying and just come off as really annoying when you're hearing it again and again and again. Also, there's a bug where if you right-click on the "Draw" button, the cards you have selected stay in your han...

As a cribbage lover and someone who has played for 20+ years, this is such a fun, addicting interesting version! It is quite challenging - which can be frustrating but also rewarding!! I would definitely recommend this game even for anyone who loves cards, deck building games, or cribbage!

Really fun game for people who like crib/Balatro/deck builders. There are a bunch of decks with different perks which is great if you want to try out a different build (15s, runs etc.) Game also has a couple difficulty options for people who want a harder challenge. I could easily see myself doubling my current playtime Overall its a pretty neat game and would recommend trying it out if it peaks your interest
