Note: This review has been edited from its original version in response to a recent update to the game. 'The Little Pixel that Could' is a minimalist precision platformer with competent gameplay design but contributes nothing particularly novel to the genre beyond an exceptionally solemn story. The notion of asking to have your browser history deleted after you die has humorously lewd implications, but the game quickly makes it clear this is not the direction it's going. Honestly, I lost interest in the story after it started showing smartphones and the internet in the 1980s. As for the gameplay, it's worth five dollars if you're into precision platformers, but that's it.

It’s an interesting 2D platformer with excellent controls. The story is presented in a surprising and unusual way - it doesn’t feel forced, and overall it’s intriguing to see where it leads. I haven’t finished the game yet, but the time I’ve spent playing has been really engaging. There are lots of clever puzzles that seem confusing at first, but eventually you figure them out. All in all, if you enjoy platformers, this is a fantastic choice.
