This game shows that simplicity can be satysfying enough, as compared to Transformed and Team Sonic Racing, where the number of features is overwhelming, negatively for them. The game runs smoothly and has amazing sound design

just emulate the xbox 360 or wii version, this runs mostly bad on most pcs. if you really want a game like that for pc, go for transformed, not this one.

cooler than the dsi version

I mostly played this on the 360 and loved it, in fact it is my fave of the Sonic Racing games, it had imho the tightest racing (the only one to have direct Sega arcade collaboration) and I loved having multiple classic Sonic and Sega tracks to choose before the race. It's not the prettiest (that would be Transformed) and their could've been more variety of tracks themed around the different Sega characters. But for me the purity of the racing trumped the others (didn't like the flying or boating in Transformed) and is a real love letter to Sega fans. The lack of online mode and some bugs means I would recommend buying it now only in a sale though.

I used to play this so often on xbox 360 back in the day. Nostalgic vibes every time.

Best kart racer of time when it came out... even now it still holds up as a great game.
